The unique construction of these gloves eliminates gaps that can trap soil. This dramatically reduces the risk of contamination. The state-of-the-art design also results in stronger, smoother and hermitically sealed ring connections that have no weak spots.

Excellent protection from cuts
I just purchased this glove because two weeks ago I almost cut the tip of my thumb off when I was chopping chocolate. Based on other reviewers saying this glove ran very large, I decided to purchase a size small, which is 2 sizes smaller than the large I usually take. The glove fits snugly on either my left or right hand. It is made entirely of a stainless steel whose mesh is pretty tightly woven (similar to the spaces you would find in a window screen).I've used this twice, once on my left hand to cut vegetables and once on my right to grate vegetables on a box grater. Both times I felt my hands were protected. I ran a knife blade lightly on the top of the glove and didn't feel anything. I feel that wearing this glove on the hand that is holding or grating the food will protect me for most injuries. I doubt it will protect me from every possible cut but I'm certain my thumb would not have been cut almost 1/3 rd off the day I was cutting chocolate. The glove is also easy to rinse and wash. It just has to be hung up to dry or laid flat. The glove collapses like jewelry into a clump of stainless steel so it's easy to store.Because this glove is expensive, I had to justify the purchase to myself by remembering another cutting problem I had to resolve. Several years ago, I received a Gillette Fusion Proglide Men's Power Razor, 1 Count for free. I really loved how this razor prevented me from bleeding all over after shaving. However, when I saw the price of the refills at the time (they were very expensive then; something like $48 for 8 refills), I almost decided to discard the razor. After thinking about it, I figured I'd be crazy not to spend the money because now I would no longer cut myself shaving and risk a chance of infection every time I shaved. It's been three years that I have used this razor and gone through many refills and I believe I only cut myself three times over that period. Therefore, although I did not really want to spend $95 for a glove that covers only one hand, I strongly felt that if I did not spend the money one day I would regret it. After all, how much are the tips of my fingers worth. So far I'm very satisfied and will update my review if ever I am not.

Costly but not as much as an ER visit
Was received in timely fashion. Have used several times. Works great with mandolin and knives. Used suggested size chart and ordered the small which was 1 size larger than I needed according to palm size. Although the palm is loose, that part works very well because of flexibility. However, if you have long fingers you may want to get 2 sizes larger. My fingers are fairly short but when the glove is pulled to the wrist as it should be, the glove fingertips are slightly short. Have already recommended this product to others, one of which will be getting one after a trip to the ER.

Hi quality and beautifully made.
Hi quality and beautifully made. After cutting the tip of my thumb off numerous times while slicing veggies, I decided to spend the money and purchase this very expensive glove. I'm so glad I did. I practiced slicing with it, and my knives did NOT harm my fingers. I finally feel safe now.I am a woman (5'2") with slightly larger sized hands compared to other women my height. I ordered the small and it fit great. My fingers go all the way into the ends of the glove. It is extremely comfortable and very supple. The oval plate on the wrist area is made of metal, and because of that, I can hang the glove on my magnetic knife holder. I've attached pictures to show that, as well as some pics to show the suppleness, fit, and instructions.

Great product, and happy with Gloves Online.
Excellent product, quality construction, fits purpose. Gloves online was top rate - they shipped the glove for free and it arrived in a reasonable time. The glove was too small (I followed erroneous advice in another review that said the gloves run small), so I returned for medium and the return was trouble free and only cost was shipping the glove back.On the sizing issue, I'd say the glove follows conventional sizing. A medium fit exactly. This is what I normally wear in an outdoor glove. For comparison, a playtex large dish glove fits me, too.

1st day of ownership and already spared my finger
This glove is great. It fits my small fingers perfectly (I ordered a small) but runs large in the hand. If I were to go to an extra small, the fingers would not be long enough, the Palm would probably still be a little big. However, the glove is still comfortable and works great! No need for me to wear a cotton glove underneath it like some pictures show. Maybe that's for people with hairy hands? It seems sturdy and very protective!

Before I got this glove, I visited the emergency ...
Before I got this glove, I visited the emergency room twice to have myself sewed up. Lost the feeling in my thumb for a year. But no more emergency room sewing sessions for me... cooking was never so safe, even chopping vegetables and meats with a cleaver, I haven't had a single cut! It does run large. Also, I put a thin food prep glove over it to keep the food juices and bits out of it. That way you can clean as you go while cooking, chop, stir, do everything, then just strip off the outer glove and hang up the steel one.
