VIVO Dual Motor Electric Standing Desk Frame

It is definitely heavy :) I was surprised, but fortunately my office is quite close to the delivery point. If you are ordering, be prepared - it's extremely heavy. But that also accounts for the fact that it is REALLY SOLID and well made. I had been using a pretty plain Ikea top sitting on two end pieces (file cabinet + drawers) also from Ikea. This was the easiest retrofit ever. Unboxed, assembled, and slid it under my desk as it stood. Rearranged a few cables and then gradually lifted it until my entire desktop was floating. Woo! Assembly and messing around with cables only took about an hour in total and I was not rushing it. Super impressed with how sturdy it is, even when up in the air. I'm 6' tall so this worked great. On my desk is a full PC, a laptop, a 40 inch television (monitor), and a bunch of Misc. tablets, etc. It lifts up with no problem, and is so smooth and quiet that on the way up, it doesn't even disturb my coffee, and on the way down, I have to check to make sure no cats snuck under it and fell asleep :) The lockout is a godsend. Some people comment that it's a bit much and inconvenient, but I'm betting those people don't have small children :) I change the height maybe 4 times a day. It's like 5 seconds to unlock. Not a big deal. I'm in love and I'm already feeling the benefits of this desk for me. I have had pain in my tailbone / sciatica which has been getting worse for a while. I've tried all the pillows, etc. but for me being able to stand and work for a few hours every day has been sweet, sweet relief. Yes, my legs get tired - I'm not bionic. But when they do, I hit memory-1 and sit for a bit. Next time I get up for coffee or something I hit memory-2 and come back standing. It's been really nice. I was really, really relieved not to have to completely reconfigure and rebuild my desk setup too. The retrofit option was particularly awesome in my opinion.

Very sturdy and smooth lift. love the height options and it looks very attractive. it's more of a warm white, which I like. The instructions were simple & I was able to attach a nice butcher block to the frame and it lifts it no problem!

I wanted an ergonomic desk for my home office but I didn’t like the things that sit on top of a desk and allow you to stand up. I bought these legs and mounted them to a 1.5 inch thick butcher block counter top. My desk is 40” x 72” and these legs safely support it. The legs are very well made and operate smoothly and quietly. Assembly is simple and took less than 30 minutes. The only areas that could be improved are cord management and the mounting hardware. The screws provided are not large enough in my opinion and I replaced them with larger wood screws. The kits does include zip ties and mounting pads for cord Management, but what about the cords for all of your desk items? I added cord management kits from Amazon to keep it clean. Raising and lowering the desk is extremely simple and my four year old loves doing it for me. There are three programmable presets which allow you to change between sitting and standing by pressing one button. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase!

VIVO really is one of those brands that is a no-brainer to order from. They're a prominent part of my setup, from my monitor arms, to my desk. This dual motor frame is perfectly sturdy, and no shakes, even on carpet. It feels so much smoother compared to single motors, especially from other brands. The legs feel heavy and durable, and my desk raises and lowers without any squeaks or instability. This install was super easy in comparison to other standing desks I've had in the past, aside from actually mounting the desk (which is a one time problem), due to the heaviness of the desk. However, I am sure if I had a bigger room to work with, this would've been negligible. I fully endorse this product.

Standing desks in general: I love the stand-up desk, and I easily spend more than 80% of my time standing. Having the desk go up and down is key. I tried a standing desk earlier in life, but it failed because I didn’t want to stand all of the time. The adjustability is key. Correct height is critical for a standing desk since you can’t adjust your chair. This desk frame: I’m 6’4”, and this three-stage desk goes high enough for me. I’m using it about 2cm from the top height. I’m using a tabletop that is 69” x 37”, and it works well. It moves a little front to back, but not enough to matter. I have it on a thick rug, which probably contributes to this. The desk rises and lowers quickly. The assembly was very easy. I love this desk frame and highly recommend it.

This is a sturdy and stable desk frame. I much prefer it to Ikea's I... or B... desk frames because it goes lower, has memory position pre-sets, is cheaper, and is very sturdy [so far (after a couple weeks)... if it starts to wobble I will update this review)]. Holes are properly drilled and tapped, parts are 100% complete, everything works, fit and finish is lovely, it arrived nicely packed in a well padded box and everything was ready to assemble. It all looked so misleadingly easy. Pictures in the assembly instructions are pretty, but improperly sequenced, steps are omitted and mixed up. It is not possible to properly assemble this frame and attach a desktop by following the instructions that come in the box, and it is not possible to properly assemble this frame and attach a desktop by following the (different) instructions that are available on the website. The only way to properly assemble this frame and attach a desktop is to lay out all the parts the night before and make a plan, get a good night's sleep, dry assemble everything the next morning and revise the plan, and then, around lunchtime, assemble everything carefully following your doubly revised plan. At least, that is what I did. Hopefully, my desktop with its new frame will last a long time.

I like to live with a product for a while before I review it, especially things that are a bit more complex. I've had this set of legs built into a desk for several months now, and I love them. I was impressed at the build quality, and I am really very picky about such things. Everything was solid, heavy-gauge metal, with quality joints. Despite what a few reviewers here said, I had no problem with screws aligning with their holes. I even took apart the motor compartments to check the innards, and they are rather robust with a good quality grease. The electronics box is also well-made and safely designed. I ended up making a table top out of three of the cheapest pine 1x8 boards from Home Depot, biscuit-joined at the edges, routed to break the corners, aged with an iron acetate solution, and varnished. For what I considered to be a quick and temporary top, it turned out gorgeous! But enough about the wood, how about the legs? Well, they are fantastic. The control panel is a bit un-intuitive, so read the manual. It's not hard, just non-obvious. The panel itself is made of plastic, and possibly at risk of breaking if you crank the screws down hard or ram into it with a chair arm, so mount it carefully. I put a couple thin rubber pads between the plastic and the desktop to give it a little resiliency. Also, I did not use the rubber pads between the leg unit and the desk surface. I think there should be a few more of them, and in the end I couldn't figure out a good reason to bother with em, so I screwed it directly to the legs. I've had no problems at all with it. Perhaps they are meant to reduce conducted sound and make the thing quieter? It's not loud, anyhow. Be sure the area is clear when you raise and lower the desk, so it doesn't crash into something. Also note, that the control box has a bit of a magnetic field to it, probably from the transformers inside. I only noticed this when having a quadcopter drone on the desk, and it would throw compass magnetic interference errors. It causes no problems otherwise. There have been two occasions where the control panel locked up, and necessitated me unplugging and reconnecting the power to the desk. I don't fault the desk for this, as sometimes electronics just get jinky, and it's been rare and easily cured. I can heartily recommend these legs, and I wish I had done this sooner! All future work surfaces and desks in my life will be height-adjustable - it is so amazingly convenient!

This stand is amazing. So smooth and quiet and sturdy. 10/10 I used a IKEA saljan countertop on top and it’s the most beautiful desk I e ever had

Best Purchase. Very sturdy. Have used with 43” monitor and its solid for both sit and stand. Little bit wobbly when its all the way up, but I wont be needing it that high. Its quiet to operate as well.

I am very happy with this purchase. The frame is solid and seems to be good quality, but isn't insanely heavy. Assembly was easy. Raising and lowering is very smooth and makes a pleasant sound.

I am really happy with this. Arrived well packaged with clear instructions. It was easy to assemble with spares for screws and bolts which is appreciated. It works well and looks good. The motors are quiet but seem powerful. It handles my oak desk top comfortably. Excellent value for money compared to competitors but still feels premium like it will last for ever.

Llevo aproximademente un mes con el y ha cumplido mis expectativas, el armado es facil, viene con todos lo materiales necesarios, lo unico que yo tuve que tener es un desarmador y listo. Ya para instalar la madera, con un taladro queda. Es muy estable, no he tenido ningun incoveniente con eso. Los soportes cuentan con 3 alturas programables y es muy preciso. Tengo dos monitores montados en el escritorio y no tengo problema con que le cueste levantarse. Compra recomendada.
