Im a certified soap maker , this is the book i recommend to anyone who wants to start learning about soap making , its easy to comprehend and understand , it has many easy to follow recipes with ingredients that are easy to find , 10/10 would recommend this book

Excellent book! Easy to follow instructions and lots of useful information. I particularly like the essential oil mixing for soaps. I followed the book and made two soaps (one CP and one HP soap), and both of them came out beautifully and smell SO nice!! There are also ebooks, classes and freebies in her website. I read some people's comments about the book shouldn't be called "natural" when using alcohol for transparent soaps. Unfortunately, I tried the non-alcohol way and failed. Total waste of oils and efforts. It has to be done with alcohol if you want to make clear soap. Anyways, it is a great all in one soapmaking book for someone who would like get to know more about different methods of making soaps, or exploring ideas and soap recipes.

I wish this book had more pictures or a wider variety of cold process soap recipes but it really is a good book because it teaches the basics of soap making and goes into explaining how natural soap making occurs and the benefits of using different oils. The recipes in this book, although very simple, are created with a combination of ingredients that are least likely to fail which is what I was looking for after thinking that I was some soap artist and was continuously disappointed by buying expensive plant oils and butters and then having batch after batch fail. Using the recipes in this book are slowly getting my confidence back. One gripe is that the ingredient measurements are in grams so you will have to convert to ounces etc.

Bought this good all-round book for my friend at xmas, to help her remember what I had showed her during our tutorials, great book, good recipes & shows how to do ALL the different processes that you can use to make soap
