Excellent Pinless Moisture Meter.
This is a highly accurate pin-less moisture meter that links with select FLIR IR cameras, to provide on image moisture, temperature, and humidity readings. The wall cavity probe is used for moisture readings greater than 4” in depth.

This is an exact replacement part. It is identical to the original. Which in my opinion is a flawed design, why use a plastic screw on cover to protect the valuable components? Why not sell the cover and the components separately? I replaced mine because the cover got bent, it still works perfectly, but I wanted a solid cover to protect the components. So hence the loss of one star for a flawed design to begin with, it has nothing to do with the seller, or shipping or anything else.

STOP! Good item but, you may want to buy the item with the hammer.
This is a great item from a good company; BUT... if you think that you may ever need the hammer slide on this, YOU CANNOT BUY THE HAMMER SLIDE SEPARTELY. After multiple phone calls and hours of on hold with sales and tech support, no one can find an item number for me to buy the hammer slide. So.... do yourself a favor and just buy the item with the hammer slide included; trust me, after a few times using this, you will regret not having the hammer to just punch the pins into the wall. ALSO... Just consider how often you will use this and if you will need to buy new pins... because the price of the replacement pins is 'NUTS expensive'; I think the price for replacement pins is abusive.

It works - ish
The long pins make it difficult to get a surface read - so you need to penetrate.Got this item on sale - otherwise way too pricey for what it is. Replacement pins are over £40!The hammer version is identical - but instead of a metal cap - has a sliding hammer. Apparently they think that alone is worth over £200.Taking the proverbial with prices. But otherwise a nice addition to my kit.

A solid pole - but any ¼" mount stick would do it.
