Day by day review
Before (practice on a dry run) So it did this weird thing where it didnโt pop open inside at first but now I thought I figured it out but Iโm not sure if when I put my finger up there if itโs folding because of my finger?? But also if I like take it out it pops open then, and Iโm not sure if it because itโs not opened or if it just folds down because my opening it small and it smushes it ?? Also I kept pinching my skin around my vagina which hurt a lot, but I left it in over night since I could feel my period coming, and I emailed them my concerns. Day one I started my period at school at close to the end of the day so I popped it in and bam! It just went in so easy and it make a loud slurping noise which probably didnโt sound so good to the other girls in the bathroom lol. I put a pad on just Incase. And it worked! It didnโt leak and it did its job! I took it out in the shower at the end of the day surprisingly there wasnโt much blood but it I poured it out it like exploded like it was super concentrated. It I put it back it back in it wouldnโt cooperate yet again, and First I thought was because I was standing, then I tried Sitting on the toilet didnโt work, but when I laid down in my bed it popped right open and sucked in air, I got a little freaked out because it felt like thereโs to much air in there but a little bubble came out and I feel much more comfortable now. Day 2 I was pleased to see that is didnโt leak during the night and it was working! But emptying it made a pretty big mess though. I wore it for the day, it worked perfect! I kinda learned that with this then you just have to trust it to work, because thereโs no way to for sure know if it popped open completely. But I never ever had any leaking! Or pain or feeling uncomfortable. Although my only complaint is that the removal and putting it back in was painful but it would quickly go away and it fine, and it was fine though the night! They also emailed me back and explained there was learning curve, and my body needs to get used to it, they also offered to send me a smaller cup! Day 3 Itโs still working and I think Iโve got a pretty good hang of it!! It still is a little painful going in and out, but I totally forget about it when it settles itโs pretty crazy! With tampons I constantly feeling bubbles and keep reminding myself to change it not to risk any infections, and with pads well itโs feels like a diaper so itโs impossible to forget. But with the cup i totally forget Iโm even on my period! Itโs amazing! I just canโt believe that I donโt feel something that big! Itโs also amazing to clean, itโs just so east and everything just slides out, so far it hasnโt stained! But that might be because itโs pink and not clear. Day 4: Not sure what else to say! It did itโs job and it was great! Went in and out smoothly and no leaking ! After: So I made a mistake,,, and totally forgot to take it out aaannnd now it seems to be stained with a horrible smell, but! I read up on it, and Iโm soaking it in a 3% vinegar bath which many people say cures the bad smell Iโm hoping itโll work! Over all review: Iโd definitely give this a 6 out of 5 if I could! This is a amazing product! I canโt believe that I used to be so creeped out by these things and when my sister told me about it I thought to myself โIโll never use that vampire shot glass!!โ But look at me now! I love how reused able it is, making it so eco friendly! I love how you donโt have to deal with making sure you have enough tampons or pads when you go on a trip! Also not to mention if apocalypses/natural disasters where to happen this will be a lifesaver (sorry to be a downer but I live in a high earthquake risk) also the company making these are just the best! They really care about what people have to say, wether itโs good or bad, they also donate a cup to a woman in need which I love and think is amazing! Iโm totally hooked and am happy with this cup!

Why Didnโt I Try This Sooner?!
Okay Iโm about to get real and graphic so if you canโt handle what Iโm about to share, skip this review. Iโm 5โ4โโ and morbidly obese at about 330 pounds. I would shop for my wallet killers aka pads and tampons down the same aisle when I need to replenish. I kept looking at the Diva Cup on the shelf and was turned off by the price. Thatโs what gets me...the price. Was I that willing to fork over a ridiculous amount of money for something thatโs supposed to save me so much more the rest of my life? No lol! Money is too tight these days. So I broke down and asked in a makeup group Iโm in on Facebook about the Diva Cup and what their thoughts were on it. A vast, large majority said it was best thing they ever had. Which is exactly what I wanted to hear. I needed to hear the support whether it was good or bad. So I ordered this at the tail end of my period so itโs not like I had a lot of โobstaclesโ in the way trying this out. Iโm a very huge woman so I found that doing the trifold method versus just folding the cup over once worked best for me. I relaxed my muscles and just pretended like it was a tampon Iโm inserting only itโs a purple silicone funnel lol! I tried inserting standing up and it just wasnโt working for me. I did wayyyyy better sitting down on the toilet which is best when you have to take it out anyway. I almost had it perfectly placed the first time inserting it. Reading the directions first put me at ease. Little things like you can pee with it in and not to use it for post natal bleeding. It was nice to read the small pamphlet for helpful tips, advice and how to take care of your menstrual cup. It felt funny at first and then I made myself move around more. I sat down on the sofa and I felt the cup go up more and I felt even more comfortable. One thingโs for sure, you canโt be afraid to get friendly with your โsouthern territoryโ so that you can make sure the cup is positioned like it should. Donโt be afraid to push the cup up higher. If you feel like something is stuck down below, itโs probably not in right. When it feels comfy, youโll know. Some will feel it and others wonโt. For me, I know itโs there and yes I feel it but itโs not an annoyance. I never felt uncomfortable to the point I need to adjust it. For those of you that work a lot, this cup is supposed to serve no leak protection for up to 12 hours and itโs true. I get up in the morning and unplug to shower and sanitize my cup. I pop it in and although itโs supposed to be leak free protection, thereโs nothing wrong with putting on a panty liner for insurance. So thatโs what I do. I go to work as normal and by the time I get home, I unplug, clean, sanitize and shower. Iโm usually at my heaviest on day 2-3 and I go 5 days max when Iโm on my cycle on average. I work at a daycare (for now....last day is in three days and then Iโm going to a desk job!). Working with kids youโre up and down, constantly moving. I wore a panty liner and the Pixie Cup today and there was no leaking whatsoever and no discomfort of any kind. No smells. No blood on my underwear. No tampon in sight. No long Infinity pads the size of an eagleโs wing span. Being so big is so tough. Iโll have a heavy cycle and Iโll wear the Super absorbency tampon with a Heavy or Overnight absorbency Always Infinity pad at the same time. And having a big backside it just sucks up my underwear and then blood can easily got up the crack of my butt no matter what kind of menstrual armor I put on and I have to go to the bathroom just to wipe myself up. Granted, I wear black pants everyday, but blood can smell and no one is gonna tell me I smell but they might if Iโm not around. Or I go to the bathroom and sit down on the toilet and thereโs blood on the back part of the toilet. So I wipe the blood away and Lysol the toilet until itโs dead and wipe it down like Iโm getting paid for it. I hated how I would smell and I was changing my pads and tampons. This Pixie Cup has given me peace of mind and freedom. For once, something makes me feel good about myself. Maybe once I get this weight loss surgery next year Iโll be even more confident in my body and struggle less with inserting this Pixie Cup. We have a 9 year old and 2 year old, both girls. So maybe when that time of the month starts for them, it might be something for them to consider if theyโre comfy with it and save some money and protect their bodies in the long run. Itโs important that they make their own choices when it comes to what they wanna do with the feminine products they use. Since Iโm now educated in the benefits of a menstrual cup, not just for saving money, but for better health practices too, itโs another option for our daughters to consider when that time comes for them. Another important thing I was worried about is this thing disappearing into my body and I never see it again. For those of you that have had a child, push like youโre pushing a baby out and youโll see the end of the cup and remove it. For those of you who havenโt had a baby, push as if youโre trying to pee or like your trying to have a bowel movement. I always wondered that if I shove this thing up there, will it want me to retrieve it haha. Keep in mind Iโm a very big woman so when I sit down, that Tsumani-like force of my butt pressing against any surface is going to move things North, South, East and West I ainโt lying. And I still was able to get it out. So yes, Iโm impressed with this, told my mom about my experience and how much I liked it. She didnโt even know something like this existed even though itโs been out for a long time now. I explained to her how itโs used, the benefits, etc. She wish she had it when she started her cycle. As far as the cleansing wipes, theyโre good and if you wanna go cheaper, you can always have a small bathroom clutch bag and store some unscented baby wipes in a zip lock or get a travel sized pack of wipes and store it inside of your bathroom clutch so that you can easily clean your cup in the bathroom if youโre out in public or at your place of business. In case you might drop your cup in the toilet, get a backup cup or have a backup pad or two just to keep yourself covered until you can properly sanitize it once you get home. I even used Vagisil to clean my Pixie Cup and very hot water. Iโm cheap, I try to use what I have before spending a ton of money right away. Hope this review helped!

My Holy Grail of Menstrual Cups!!!
Finally, I think I have found MY cup. I have been using menstrual cups for about 15 years, which means I have tried more than a few in my quest to find the perfect one for me. I am in my 40s now, pre menopausal which means terribly heavy flow (which I have always had due to rebellious ovaries) and constant fear of leaks, especially in public. I just went through my first cycle with this cup, (size XL) and I can happily say that the only time I experienced any manner of leakage was during the night, when I normally have issues with all other cups...but that was only upon actually rolling out of bed to stand up, thus squishing the cup which was already full to capacity and causing a bit of overflow. Other than this, I had no other issues at all!!! Here's my take on the cup itself: Design: Despite the XL being green, which is my favorite color, I don't give two flying figs what the thing looks like considering where it's going, but the thickness of the cup is what I feel makes it fab. Unlike more pliable cups, I feel the lack of leakage has a great deal to do with the fact that it doesn't squish as easily, and the Pixie is nice and firm. Insertion: If you are a practiced cup user, you will have no issues with putting this cup in. It's business as usual...fold in half, then in half again. If you are a new cup user, you will have issues no matter which cup you choose, as there is a bit of a learning curve, so don't let this stop you. I say, go for it. Give this one a try. I will never, ever use another tampon so long as I live and this is the best menstrual cup that I have yet to use. Comfort: As with most, this cup cannot be felt if inserted properly. I tend to pop one in before work when I begin to cramp and know my period is soon to arrive just as a safety precaution in case I begin my flow and am not at home. Complete comfort the whole time to forgetting I have it in until I experience the 'duh' moment and remember to check it that evening. Removal: Again, business as usual. Bear down, pinch and pull. Easy peasy. I dont know whether the little tab at the end makes it any easier to remove or not as I tend to pull the tip of the cup itself, not the tabs, but it seems 'grippy' and removal is just as easy as others I have used. Maintenance: This is the first cup for me that has come with little wipes, which is cool when I use this at work. Are they necessary? Probably not, but I thought it was a nice touch. As with others, I boil my cup after each cycle to sanitize and store it in it's cute little pink pouch until the next month. Would I recommend this? Most definitely! I have 2 daughters who have not yet begun their cycles, and while I will start them out on smaller cups for obvious reasons, I plan to order another for myself very soon as back up and one for each of my daughters for when they start menstruating. Another thing I love, by ordering all these additional cups myself, I am helping to donate menstrual cups to women who would likely otherwise not have one. Bravo Pixie for such generosity, and understanding just how much one little silicone cup can change the way a woman looks at an unavoidable unpleasant situation!

Cheaper than the Diva Cup and twice the fun! Maybe. IDK.
Review update: I bought the small size and it's definitely more comfortable. The cup isn't as deep, but I never filled it up anyway. So I've been using this thing for 3 cycles now and, while I will say it's pretty cool and a healthier alternative to tampons, I wouldn't exactly say that "it will change your life!" as some other reviewers have insisted. Well, other than the fact that it takes an additional 2-5 minutes while getting ready in the morning because this thing is freaking hard to maneuver. I'll start with the bad, or slightly annoying. I don't care what anyone says, I can still feel this thing. It's not painful or even that uncomfortable, but I can tell it's there. It's just like a... pressure. It kind of feels like when your tampon is too saturated and wants to come out. It won't just slide out though, cause if you put it in right, it is SUCTIONED in there. I mean like, really suctioned. You gotta give the little tab a pretty solid yank to get it out. And getting into your fun dungeon? Let me tell you, if you don't like sticking your fingers up your cooch while you're bleeding, menstrual cups are probably not for you. It can get a little slasher film if your flow is heavy. Also, if for some reason you had to take it out in a public restroom, it could be awkward. The only way I have found to get it in correctly is to squat down, fold it in half, and jam it up the ole Dagobah system. Then you gotta run a finger around the outside of it to make sure it popped open. And THEN if it isn't positioned just right, you have to pinch the bottom of it with TWO fingers and rotate it around until you get it where you want it. If you have a tiny giny, some parts of this process will probably be difficult for you. However, it does WORK. I was concerned about it leaking or not being big enough to hold all the blood, but apparently I bleed less than I thought, because it has never leaked or overflowed. I can work (I'm a massage therapist), do yoga, exercise, and sleep in the thing with no spillage. As an added bonus, if you're disgusting like me, it is actually pretty cool to see how much your vajay bleeds during your period. And also, you can "double right-click your mouse" with it in, with no gory mess... I don't know from experience or anything, I just HEARD... from a friend. Oh and maybe best of all, NO THREAT OF TOXIC SHOCK! So there you have it, ladies. Now you can decide whether you want to be awesomely feminine like me, or be a stringed loser with TSS. The decision is yours. P.S. There are many options to choose from when picking a menstrual cup. I picked this one because it rhymes with DIXIE cup and I like to party.

The Best
I have tried 8 different cups. This one is THE BEST I've tried. I bought the XL. I was not given any reimbursement or discount. I do not work for this company nor know any person who does. This is my honest review and opinion. PRO: - Perfect size for me. I have heavy period problems but this cup takes care of business. No leaks, no mess. If you're new to cups it does take some practice to get the hang of it. My advice is to try it on days when you don't have a busy schedule so you have time to relax and learn. There are lots of tutorials to help figure out what works best for you. Don't give up! It's totally worth it! - Perfect pull tab. The tab on mine has a small ball on the end of a short stem. The ball makes it super easy to grab and pull without slipping and helps keep good control. The stem length is long enough to easily find but short enough to be out of the way all other times (wiping and pulling on a stem can cause loss of suction temporarily, which could allow some messes to slip by). Good tab grip is important because without good removal control you increase your chances of spilling before your ready or dropping the cup where you don't want to! Some cups had a hollow pull tab which didn't give enough stiffness to get a good grasp and allowed messes to get stuck inside the tab making it hard to clean. Other cups had solid tabs but: were so short it was hard to find or too long and bothered me. The one I previously liked best had a good tab length with ridges but it was thin so I had to use my fingernails to get a good pull grip. One cup I tried had a really long tab that was suppose to mimic a tampon string and give better release. I disliked that one the most. It had the least amount of removal control and I hated feeling the 'string'. One other cup had no tab at all and you had to pull from the bottom of the cup which increased chances of messes. I disliked that one second to last. You want to be able to get a solid grasp without slipping on your natural bodily fluids that can form on the cup. - It comes with a cute bag to store cup in. It's easy to throw in a purse and yet keeps it more discreet. CON: - best I can tell, each cup size only has one color option. Seriously, that's all I can think of that I don't like. OTHER COMMENTS - I recommend two cups so you have one to wear while you wash and dry the other - I also recommend their cup wash. The foaming soap makes it much easier than a gel or regular consistency soap to quickly wash the cup and get it all clean. I tend to have very sensitive skin and react to chemicals quickly. This soap is perfect for me. No weird soap smell, no itching, no burning (like some other brands). It says all organic and natural. I've tried other brands of cup wash and this is my favorite. - I highly recommend the steamer! The steamer is really fast and easy. Otherwise I was trying to take it to the kitchen when no one was around and either try to boil in the microwave or on the stove, then let cool and air dry before putting away. With the steamer I just add water, plug it in, place cup, cover with top, press button and walk away. It shuts off when it's done and my cup can wash and dry discreetly inside. Some people steam their cup after every use. Others only steam after their done for the month. Either way this is a super handy little gadget. - If you can love anything about visit's from Aunt Flo, I love this cup, the wash and the steamer. These have made my monthly dues so much easier to tolerate. - One last thing: just because my favorite color is green doesn't mean I hate this product because it only comes in blue. It doesn't mean I hate every other color that's not green. Neither does it mean I hate anyone who doesn't like green. It's just my opinion, just like everything I've wrote here. So it seems completely irrational, to me, to base any review as 1star only because there is a bible verse in the packaging. Personally I was not offended and I like the fact that this company stands for what they believe in. To them their scripture is what makes them want to make the best product they can and help as many less fortunate people as possible while making an awesome product. I would not have been offended if they supported the Dalai Lama, printed his quotes in the product and/or packaging and supported his causes. If you believe in anything strong enough you want others to know. I appreciate that about anyone. No worries. Dream big. Do good.

Not Actually XL Size & Not Easy to Remove
I have had this for a year a more. Does it work? Yes. It does. Is it comfortable? Yes. Easy to clean. Yup. Easy to remove? I'll get to that. Does it do something other cups don't? No, not really. (Tl:dr - XL cup is the same size as everyone else's Large and that little dimple on top makes it hard to remove.) The cup came with its little bag and a bunch of samples like wipes and cup cleaner. Which was nice. I was excited to try this. It was a woman-owned/founded business and I thought their message was good. Still do. I got the extra large size because I have a super heavy flow the first few days of my period. And it always seems to come all at once. So much so that even with a cup I still wore a pad because my cup would (literally) runneth over. And I was already using a large(s) from another brand. Then I saw Pixie. Hemmed and hawed because of the price point. Easily twice as much (plus some) as my previous cups - and I got them for $10 for two. But that extra large...that could be a game changer. I could maybe stop wearing pads and still make it to the bathroom in time to change! Nope. I remember being excited about getting it, opening the box, and seeing all the little samples. Washing and disinfecting it. Then I *really* looked at it. Gee, looked smaller than I thought. Went to my bathroom cupboard, and took out my old one from its case. It was the as same height, width, and diameter as my old one. The only thing Pixie did was put the measurement line higher. What a major letdown. Still, the brand and company was good (still think that) so I decided to use it. And that's where we come to my real problem with this. You see my other cups have a little round ball you can use to remove it. Those are handy. The Pixie has an indent or dimple at the end. Believe it or not, it doesn't make a great grip for removal. It looks charming and is supposed to represent some kind of flower or something in nature if I remember correctly. What it is, is annoying. Do I still use my Pixie Cup? Occasionally. It's my backup for the ones I use regularly. Will I get another Pixie Cup again? No. Another Pixie product? Maybe, but more along the accessories lines than one of their main products.

Goodbye pads! Hello Pixie!
I've been thinking about trying menstrual cups for a while. The first one I ordered (different brand) was extremely uncomfortable and leaked a lot. So I was kind of nervous to try again with a different cup brand. But I did my homework this time and settled on the pixie cups for a few reasons: 1. I have a very high cervix, can't reach it at all with my fingers. So wanted something with a nice solid stem that would be long enough to grip easily. I also have shorter fingers, so being able to reach the stem was a concern. 2. My flow varies greatly on each day of my period, ranging from light to super heavy and then back to light again. Pixie cup was one of the few brands that offered three sizes. Most brands only have one or two. 3. I wanted a soft flexible cup that wouldn't interfere with urination as my first cup did. I didn't want to have to take it in an out when I needed to empty my bladder. 4. These cups have good reviews overall. 5. From what I could tell, Pixie had great customer service. I bought all three sizes, so I could try out the different fits, and the different capacities as the heaviness of my flow changed. All three sizes fit well without issue (thank goodness vaginas are made to stretch). My order arrived in the middle of my period and I was already bleeding heavily, so I started with the largest size. It took a bit of effort to get it in and opened up properly. I had to try a few times before I got a good seal. There was no pain or discomfort, but emptying my bladder did take a little longer than usual while I was wearing the largest size. However, I was happy that I didn't need to remove it as I did with my earlier purchase. There was no pain or discomfort while urinating, it just took a little longer. I will continue to use this one, but only on my heaviest days. The medium size gave me the best fit overall. It was easy to get it to open fully on the first try. I couldn't tell I was wearing it at all and emptying my bladder was just like I wasn't wearing a cup at all. This was my favorite of all three sizes. I will likely use this one most of the time. I think I might even order an extra one. The small size was super easy to insert and open, as well, but I felt like I didn't have the best seal. I will only use this one on my lightest days. The stems were fantastic for removal and the little balls on the end really give you something substantial to grab onto during removal. Without the stems, I wouldn't have been able to reach the cups to remove them so I'm glad I chose the Pixie cups. I'm very happy with my purchases. Thank you!

Lovely product if you understand how to use it
Let me preface this review by saying that I will not be speaking delicately. I am reviewing a product that you literally shove into your vaginal canal, so Iโm jusy saying that my review is going to be frank and a little blunt. You have been warned. This is the first cup Iโve ever used. I was previously a tampon/pad user. I am also a 25 year old woman who has never had any children (which is why I opted for the โsmallโ size even though I am on the upper age limit. My periods last about 5 days with fairly light bleeding for 2 and moderate bleeding for the other 3. My first impression of the cup was that it was horrible, awful, and I was going to throw it away. It was very difficult for me to fold it in a manner that didnโt feel like I was giving reverse birth. When I finally got it inserted, I felt incredibly uncomfortable. I was walking around a lot that say, and I was only comfortable whenever I was sitting. I could feel the stem and the cup for the entire day. Then, when I went to the bathroom, I saw that I was leaking on top of it all. Since I was in public, I just left the thing in place to deal with later. Later came, and I suddnetly didnโt notice the cup anymore. When I went to the restroom, I wasnโt spotting. I felt victorious like I finally knew what the excitement was about! When I got home, I was so ready to remove it to see how much blood it collected (weird thing to be excited about right). Wellllll, when I went to find the cup, I couldnโt find it. I was standing up and squatting, and only the tip of the stem was felt. It was also extremely slippery, so I couldnโt get a grip on the thing even with the grooves on the stem. Iโm panicking at this point because I donโt want to ask my boyfriend to put it out for me. The angle was just impossible for me to remove. I eventually got a pair of tweezers, washed them, and used them to grab the stem. Yes, there was pain from punching involved. It was very upsetting. I vowed never to use the thing again and used my remaining tampon supply for the rest of my period. Next period comes along, and I decide to give it ONE more shot. I inserted it by folding it all small as I could, and the inserting part is mildly uncomfortable. Fast forward throughout the day: I couldnโt feel it and I had very small spotting. When I went to remove it, I had the same issue of the thing creeping up too high in my vagina. I wasnโt even going to panic this time, and I also had to pee and poo. I just sat on the toilet and did my thing with the cup still wedged inside. When I went to wipe, I felt the stim! I was able to easily remove it, and no tweezers were needed. I realized that in order to remove it, I have to sit on the toilet and push. Then the little thingy drifts to the opening of my vagina, and I can grab the stem with some toilet paper (canโt grib it otherwise because itโs too slick.) Now Iโm on day 4 of my period and vow to never return to tampons. Woo! Moral of the story is to keep calm and takes a poop.

At last... I've found my perfect cup
The hardest thing about menstrual cups is there's no one-size-fits-all. It might take a few before you know what suits you, which isn't cheap, but honestly when you've struggled with periods for a long time its worth it. I have what seems to be a somewhat low cervix, I've tried a soft small cup which was easy to remove but hard to get open, needed emptying more and sometimes leaked, I've tried a more regular cup which opened easily but was hard to remove and felt slightly too big and uncomfortable. The Pixie cup classic XS small is perfect for me. I've only used it for one day and I can already tell it's a blessing. Not too big, not too small, comfortable and forgettable, just the right firmness that it opens easily and isn't hard to remove. The ONLY thing that bothers me is the end of the stem, its flat to the point that it feels a bit nippy and sharp down below, but I'd say taking a pair or scissors and rounding off the edge will help a lot.

This is a game changer, absolutely converted!
I was so nervous about using one of these, but now I've tried it I will never go back! (Sorry this is a detailed review so strap in) I've always been a pad user; I have used tampons in the past and felt comfortable using them but a pad just seemed easier for me. I'd seen menstrual cups advertised and saw some people reviewing them. I was interested as it seemed better for the environment but I felt incredibly nervous. After doing some research I found the pixie cup, and the fact that they give these to women in need too was amazing. I had a quick look on their website as they do a variety of cups and wasn't sure which one was right for me (if you're unsure too they have a quick quiz on their website which I recommend doing, especially if you are like me and had no idea how to tell where your cervix was, which a lot of companies recommend you do before buying). I then bought the regular one (as was recommended), and it worked beautifully for me. If you're not sure where to start with what to buy (as there are a lot of different products to chose from) I bought the cup and their menstrual cup wash (which I found incredibly useful as well). I do have the steriliser now too, but I think in terms of necessity you only need the cup itself and the cleaner. The cup does come with wipes which are incredibly useful if you're in a public bathroom, and you can sterilise your cup without the steriliser. I would start with just the cup and the cleaner and see how you go. When the cup first arrived it came with a really great information pack guiding you through. When I first started using it I was apprehensive, and insertion was tricky. A lot of people recommend the C-fold which I tried, but after about two days and leaks I looked up other folds as it just didn't work for me. I ended up trying the punch down fold and found this worked so much better and was 1000 times easier (there are so many ways you can fold it and there are tutorials on YouTube too). Actually using the cup I was so pleasantly surprised by how easy it was. After finding a better fold that worked for me, I can now insert it on the first try. Now I'm a bit more practised I can take it out, clean it, and re-insert it in about five minutes. Taking out the cup was actually really easy from the get-go, I love the bobble at the end of the stem as it is always really easy to find. Cleaning was so easy with the cleaner, and inserting it back in again was easy once I found the right fold for me. In terms of the mechanics of it I find it is obviously harder than traditional period products such as a pad or tampon, and for a while it takes a lot longer. However, it gets easier with practice and time. When the cup was in, I was blown away! There were a few tiny leaks whilst I was getting the hang of it, but I would put it in/change it when I woke up and before I went to work, would do an entire shift (I work quite long hours) with it in and without worrying, and then change it between 8 - 12 hours. It took so much stress and thinking pressure off of me, as I didn't need to worry about leaks or changing it regularly, I just went about my day! There was no odour which was great, and I didn't have that awful wet-pad feeling which I hated, so this was unexpected bonus that didn't occur to me at the time. I felt so much more hygienic, and some days I genuinely forgot I was on my period. It didn't take over my week as much as it usually does. I felt so impressed that I didn't have to worry for up to 12 hours; I am so tired on my period that I can easily sleep for that long and it was relief to know I wouldn't have to set an alarm to get up and change a pad/tampon, or worry about leaks on bedsheets. Changing it in a public bathroom is a bit more tricky, but as said the wipes really help with this and it's very manageable. Sorry this is so long! But I absolutely love this product! I love that my period is less stress now, I feel more hygienic, it's more environmentally friendly, I'm saving money in the long run, it's helping other women, and I can use this 10 years! I was so nervous to use this, but I am absolutely converted and cannot tell you how pleased I am that I've tried it! If you're apprehensive, honestly give it a go. It's a lot of trial and error I think, but once you've figured out what's best for you it's life changing!

Life changing
With age, my cycle became more and more frequent, and the bleeding a lot heavier, to such an extent that I had to go to a GP about it. Anyway, everything is ok, but my life was really impacted, as I had to change my doubled-up sanitary products every hour, and even more often at times. My friend recommended that I try this. I was hesitant at first; you know, it's a bit unusual. But OMG, it's such a lifesaver! There's a learning curve for sure, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty amazing. No more leaks, no more stress; I feel like I've got my life back.
