Featuring a perfectly crisp texture and convenient resealable packaging, it’s designed to keep your sweet snack fresh and shareable—ideal for gifting, office treats, or nostalgic indulgence. ## Description Peanut brittle is one of the most famous variations in the United States. One popular legend claims that peanut brittle was invented in the South by accident in the 19th century. According to the story, a Southern cook mistakenly used baking soda instead of cream of tartar while making taffy, resulting in a crisp, airy texture rather than a chewy one. While this tale may be more folklore than fact, it highlights the role of regional traditions in shaping brittle’s history. Unlike toffee and brickle, brittle does not rely on butter for its texture. Instead, it is made by caramelizing sugar (often with corn syrup or honey) and adding nuts, baking soda, or other ingredients to create a light, airy crispness. The addition of baking soda introduces air bubbles, giving brittle its delicate, shatter-prone texture. Brittle candy is a non-crystalline candy made by cooking syrup to a hard crack stage, spreading it out into a thin layer and is served broken up in pieces. Any type of nut can be used in a brittle, although peanuts are the popular ingredient. Peanuts can be raw, salted, roasted, and unblanched. Discover the sweet simplicity of tradition with our handcrafted Peanut Brittle — a nostalgic treat made the old-fashioned way. Each golden, buttery sheet is packed with perfectly roasted peanuts and cooked to crisp perfection for that satisfying crunch in every bite. Locally you can't find any . Taste good but it's all Brittle and no peanuts. So I took a chance and ordered Home Style Brittle 2 # . I almost ordered 1 # and so glad I didn't. Absolutely delicious. Now I'm afraid on much I'll order again and again . 10 ⭐️. I would add a picture but it's half gone already ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hoping Home Style Sticks Around *by on Reviewed in the United States February 20, 2026* I have purchased several different varieties of peanut brittle through Amazon. Some had a burnt after taste, some was way to sweet. The few that were actually good, soon disappeared from Amazon. This variety has a very good peanut taste to it. I originally purchased the 1 pound package so if it was bad, it was not a total waste. This is good as my son and I have devoured the 1st pound and I have shot up to a 3lb bag, and I'm sure there will be more, providing Home Style does pull their brand from Amazon like the previous brands. My third 3lb package is gone. Im not sure who enjoyed them the most; me or my son. Fourth bag has been ordered. I may have to hide this one (lol). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Poor shipping method for crushable item. *by on Reviewed in the United States July 31, 2026* The brittle is really good. Would have given 5 stars, except they shipped it in an envelope instead of a box. When it arrived almost half was crushed into dust and really small pieces. ## Frequently Bought Together - Home Style Peanut Brittle Candy by Smarty Stop (3 Pound (Pack of 1)) - Oregon Farm Fresh Snacks Toffee Peanuts - Sun-Baked Sweet Covered in Toffee - Locally Made Butter Snack - All Natural Ingredients - Resealable Bag Guarantees Freshness - (24oz) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/259460994-home-style-peanut-brittle-candy-by-smarty-stop-3-pound](https://www.desertcart.be/products/259460994-home-style-peanut-brittle-candy-by-smarty-stop-3-pound) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-11-06*
