I didn’t believe the hype until I saw it for myself. Our puppy is black, high energy, and Missouri summer humidity and heat is no joke. I got this help get her cooking relief quicker than laying on tile. This pulls the heat right out and you instantly feel the cooling sensation. She quickly figured out the benefits of laying on and it truly works, and she loves it. Molly is a medium-large 7 month lab mix who weighs about 42 lbs. and the size is perfect. Even when we get a bit overheated when working in the heat it feels great to lay on. Highly recommend. Made well, easy to wipe clean, no weird odors.

Great product! Pet-friendly, looks great, is a good weight, nice size, easy to use, and if it gets warm, turn it over or put it away for 15 - 20 minutes, then they can use it again. It honestly is that easy. My dog loves it when he gets hot! He tore the edging loose; nothing else was affected, the mat itself was still intact, so if there is a way to make that edging more secure, that would be "most excellent!" I find the thickness nice, offering a bit of padding, but we put it on our futon. It is stable on surfaces like the floor, a pet kennel, or a futon. My medium-sized dog is 54 lbs; I get size 27"L x 43"W x 1"Th, and he has plenty of room to stretch out and cool off.

This mat is so nice!! Our dog gets so hot outside in summer and he will come in and lay on the mat and it takes no time for him to cool off. My only complaint it that it is a little thin and my dogs toe nails tore a whole in it the first day.

I bought one back in the summer for my senior tripawed dog who is pretty furry. She needed something to help cool her down during the humid New England summer days but that didn't get her wet (she was recovering from amputation). So, I went looking for a cooling gel mat. I found this one. It took her a week to get used to it. At first she would just walk around the mat. But once I sat on it, called her over, and handed her a few treats after laying down, she took and immediate liking to it. She constantly sprawls out on it. So, I also got one for my car since we do a lot of car rides. And I just purchased this one so that it's my "travel" one. Some things that I think folks should know - It is kinda slippery. While my tripawed puppy doesn't have much trouble on it, it can sometimes take a second for her to get back up and off the mat. She's a front leg amputee. I have the mat on an area with carpet so she'll sorta go to the edge and then stand up. - While it does cool and cool for a while, after about an hour the spot can get pretty toasty. My dog will move around on the mat on her own. But if your dog doesn't, it becomes a heating pad. Though it doesn't take long to cool off, again. - They're heavy. While that's not a problem for me to move them around, it might be for someone else. The two mats I've bought before have held up really well to wear and tear. But my dogs also don't go trying to nibble on it. Occasionally they will "dig" but that's like once a week for a minute. I'm extraordinarily happy with these mats and definitely recommend them to folks.

Works great to keep dogs relatively cool. Ous sleep in their kennels at night, and this allows them to settle in and go right to sleep. I highly recommend them.

Ok, I'm going to be straight with you about this product. 1. EFFECTIVENESS. My dog loves it! He will ALWAYS lay on the mat when we are upstairs and going to bed. I don't think it stays cool for the 3 hours the company claims, though. More like an hour before he will move due to the heat, but he will always return after it cools down again. 2. DURABILITY. I think the durability of the mat is its biggest issue. If you have read some of the other reviews, it does rip very easily. I have bought 3 of these cooling mats for my dog and each and everyone of them rip within the week. The material does not hold up well against the normal movement of a dog rolling over and readjusting during sleep. The company should really look into finding a stronger material. It isn't worth the $70 they charge. 3. CLEANING AND PORTABILITY. The mat is easily folded up and transported. Also very easy to clean. Just wipe or hose it down. 4. OVERALL. If you have a dog that has trouble staying cool, or you have a lot of carpet in your home, this is definitely a must have. I have a 100 lbs. American Bulldog, and he is always hot. Even with the dozens (literally dozens) of little rips in the mat, it is still effective at keeping my dog cool. I've purchased many cooling mats before, and this one seems to be head and shoulders above the rest. Which is probably why they can charge $70 for a mat that will rip the first time your dog uses it. If the material was a little stronger or the price was a few dollars cheaper, there would be no competition with this mat.

We have tried many other cooling mats but my dog Scout absolutely loves this one. You can feel it cooling i fyou put a part o fyour body on it. He goes to it whenever he is a bit warm. Highly recommended.

I genuinely can't believe how much my dog loves this mat. She's a senior beagle with some medical issues that tend to make her get overheated easily & start panting, but this mat works like magic to keep her cool and comfortable.

Definitely keeps our puppy cool, and she loves to lay on it on hot days. She isn’t usually much of a scratcher or digger, but for some reason she loves trying to dig this mat. So far the cover has held up well (you can see some discolouration where she has scratched, but no ripping or tearing!). Overall very happy with this product! Update- we have now had this mat for 10months and it continues to be our puppy’s favourite place to take a nap! She absolutely loves this mat, and it has held up very well for the amount of use it has gotten- It is a little misshapen from a battle with our Roomba, but no rips or tears. Definitely worth the money in our opinion!

We got this as our dog has never dealt well with the heat, despite being a kelpie, and now she is old we thought we'd look into what was available. Once it arrived, she was not certain about it at first, but a couple of weeks in and for the rest of summer she would sleep on it everytime, day or night. The funny thing is, summer came and went, we are in the depths of winter and even on cold nights, she still seems to like it! We have carpet everywhere, there is even actual sheep skins if she wants (and sometimes she does) but often enough she still chooses the cooling mat! That's probabaly all I need to say really.

My dogs love this mat! We got this mat for our 120lb Alaskan Malamute. She doesn’t sleep in bed with us because she gets to hot, so she sleeps on the hardwood beside us. We wanted to get her something to cushion her joints but everything keeps her to warm. We found this mat and it was perfect! When we first got it, we actually thought it would be thicker, but we put it down where our malamute sleeps and she took to it immediately. When walking on it in bare feet you can feel how cool it is on your skin, and despite the thinness of it, the gel is VERY comfortable. It’s perfect! Now I find our golden retriever sleeping on it too so I will be picking up a second mat in the near future but for now the mat is actually big enough for both dogs (120lb malamute and 90lb golden retriever) to sleep together on it. I read complaints about the material being thin and holes were easily punctured. I’m not sure how that happened, because the material has held up great for me. We do get our dogs nails cut and dremmeled on a regular basis, possibly once a month, but that’s part of having a dog, keeping up with the grooming. :) I don’t believe that the mat will rip or be punctured if that is the case.

This and comfortable, retains cooling. Durable fabric. I originally purchased one and now have three of these! I keep mine in the fridge and switch them out for my pup's crate when I go to work. I have no AC in my apartment. My pup lies on them when it is extra hot out. They fold easily, and the gel is in smaller compartments which makes it easier to handle. They are so easy to clean. Love!
