I took one star off, because the motor is loud enough to be annoying. It would be amazing to be able to adjust the speed of rotation, but at this price, I'm not complaining. The speaker works with my Android, and some of the above mentioned modes have preset ambient sounds. If you don't like the ambient sounds, just turn down the volume.

This was a really cool light for about a week. I bought it in black for my son and my daughter liked it so much I bought a white one for her. It only worked for about a week before the rotation stopped. It makes a sound like it's rotating but it's not. The other thing is that it automatically is set to rotate unless you use the remote. The remote features are nice but it would be better to have those features on the device as well, so if you couldn't find the remote you could still set the features how you want.Update: The company contacted me and replaced the light immediately. The new light functions great! You don't find good customer service like that often! My kids ages 8, 6, and 3 love it!

We had received a similar one of these as a baby registry gift and we actually brought it with us to the hospital and loved the calming distraction on the ceiling in a very un-calm environment. The only issue with it was that it turned itself off after an amount of time and we'd have to get up to turn it back on. I looked around and found this one with the little remote and it's perfect. Having a speaker to hook it up and play music is a nice added bonus. This is great for kids rooms, nurseries or just adults who want a calming light show to fall asleep to.

I LOVE this, and so do my kids, which of course is super important. I use it in my kids room to serve as a night light. The colors change and move, its very relaxing and memorizing. I think I may just buy another for my room as well! I have yet to use it to connect my phone or iPod on it so Im not sure of the quality within the speakers and etc. If you are looking to have this for your kids I highly suggest you buy this!

Neat little device. Very glad I went with a device with a remote. I use it for bedtime, so I place the unit out of direct view in order to just see the patterns on the ceiling. Having the remote allows me to place the device wherever I want without having to get out of bed to make any changes, which would wake me up. I do not use the speaker, but the color and timer options are very good.

I really liked this product, but am unwilling to replace only after a few months of using it. The motor mechanism that rotates the light display stopped working entirely. Some others have had the same problem. If I could return it, I would. IF ANYONE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE OF THE SUPPLYING COMPANY READS THIS, I WOULD LIKE TO BE CONTACTED. Thanks.

This light looked amazing for about 10 minutes. Then the rubber band size belt that turn the pulley and motor for the wheel inside came off. I put the rubber band back on only to have it come off again within a few minutes. This light is pretty cheaply made not worth the $25 I paid for it. I would not purchase this one over other similar items on Amazon.

Awesome item with remote... that is until about a month's worth of usage and the motor becomes intolerable to listen too. I don't use it anymore due to the how loud it's become. This is a familiar complaint for those who've waited a couple of months to leave a review.
