A: Put it on my digital kitchen scale. It weighs 2.9 ounces(without any eggs).

**Q: Is this Dishwasher safe?**
A: I don't know what the manufacturer recommends but I have put it in the dishwasher twice on the top rack. No problems.

**Q: does this hold jumbor or extra large eggs?**
A: It holds extra large eggs, no problem (ie: Costco's extra large brown organic eggs with room to spare).

**Q: Is this BPA free ?**
A: I'm not sure but it should be BPA free.
