Strong bags

I make rosaries for the missions in Africa, sending them out to a friend who works with her parish priest to distribute. These 2gallon bags are the most convenient to send as many as possible (usually between 240-300 rosaries) at one time.I also use them for other reasons, of course...but for this especially, I like having the larger size. It fits perfectly into the postal container that I send. FIVE STARS*****

I bought these bags with one main purpose in mind: I buy two different kinds of dry dog food for my two dogs with very different nutritional needs and I buy them in large bulk because of a huge price difference on these Super Premium dog foods, the largest bag being more than $1.00/lb less expensive. But both being smaller dogs I was concerned about the freshness of the food by the time we get near the bottom of the supply, even being stored in 5 gallon buckets with tight fitting lids. I decided to pack individual resealable freezer bags and store these bags in my deep freeze, pulling out one bag at a time. These bags are perfect. They keep their food fresh smelling and texture exactly the same, keeping moisture out, as much sir as I can press out and I keep them stored flat in the freezer so they take up very little space.These bags are not as heavy of a weight as the national brand resealable freezer bags, but they are a thick enough gauge plastic to be strong, and easily reusable many times by washing with warm soapy water in the kitchen sink and then I do a sanitation rinse by using 1 TBLS bleach to one gallon water and then allowing them to air dry by standing them up in an empty dishwasher, standing open on the racks so they can easily and quickly air/drip dry. The seals are easily operational, and have had no problems sealing the bags or them coming unsealed. They are large enough I continue to find additional uses for them, which surprised me because of their late 2 gallon size I did not think I would be reaching for them outside of their intended use. I was mistaken!So with this price, quality and versatility these bags are winners and if I found these in my frequently used quart size I would be purchasing them regularly too. I do have these on subscribe and save and can not see me changing that. My subtracting one star is only because of the fact that the national brand is made of a higher gauge (stronger) plastic. But even with that said I have NO problem with the weight of these and find them to be a super deal on a good quality bag. For my uses they have been perfect!

I have used these for at least 10 years. I use them for the baby blankets I make and marinating meat for grilling, that's too large for the 1 gallon bags. I've tried other brands from the store but I am back to these.

Wish price would stop going up

I first purchased these bags a several years ago because we were moving and I was looking for an easy way to deal my kitchen utensils. Movers packed everything, but once we got to the new house unpacking the kitchen created an overwhelming mess to organize. With these bags, I filled them with the contents of the drawer, sealed it, folded it over and added a piece of tape. All movers had to do was grab the bag and drop it in the box. Once at the new house, the bags can be neatly placed on the counter until I decide where the items will go. They serve many other uses in my home and I am never without them. I highly recommend these bags!
