3M Scotch Code Wire Marker Tape Refill Roll SDR-9, Printed with "9" (Pack of 10)

Occasionally I need to mark wires and cables for personal projects (Ethernet cables, ignition cables, etc.). Since a complete marker tape dispenser system is fairly expensive, I figured I could save a few dollars by simply buying some of the refill rolls. So, I ordered this set of ten refill rolls imprinted with zeros with the idea that I could fill in the zeros with a marker to indicate the number of the cable (i.e., fill in one zero for cable 1, two zeros for cable 2, etc.). What I didn't realize is how small these tape refills are. I am sure they are an exact fit for the 3M ScotchCode Wire Marker Dispenser, but they are tiny. I have posted some pictures to give you and idea of the size of the tape.Anyway, I did some testing to see how well they worked and I was pleased with the results. The tape adhered very well to a rubber clad wire and a plastic clad Ethernet cable (I don't know how well it will stick over the long term). You can't easily tear it with your fingers, but it cuts easily with scissors. I was able to fill in the zeros with a black Sharpie and was unable to rub the mark off with my finger. It appears to be a good choice for my project applications. Normally, I would say five stars, but I am giving it four stars because it is so darn small.
