Handy Hook for Hanging Christmas Lights, Bird feeders, Signs, Banners, and Reaching High Places

Holy cow! i purchased this on a whim to give me something to use to try to move cables and wires with a painters pole. This thing is GREAT! I cannot say how happy I am with this attachment. The plastic is a string and relatively light weight. I save over $150 on equipment rentals by having this.I originally bought to help free up a flipped rope that was stuck about 30 ft off the ground. this tool was perfect caught the wire and flipped it from the ground with a painters pole.I then needed to rethreaded a pulley about 30ft above a flat roof line. I drilled a small hole in from the bottom to the front of the hook at a 45 degree angle and was able to run fishing line out the front i used that to feed the pulley from the ground and once again avoided ranting a man lift.I recommended this to everyone in our ham radio club as we use painters poles all the time. If you need to move string lights, or small ropes this works a treat!

I purchased this with my fingers crossed it screwed on a pole I already had. It did. Joy! I used it to hang outdoor Christmas lights. It was GREAT value for the money. It worked pretty well but I did have a few issues with how tiny the indentation part is. It would be so much easier if that indentation where you slip the wires was about 1-2 inches deeper. Overall, for the price, and because I was successful in my Christmas light hanging mission in trees that were ~25 feet tall, I recommend this attachment.

It's a very handy thing to have if you need to put stuff up high and you need to stay on the ground; it's not safe for me to climb up stepstools and ladders due to my disability, so it's my ticket to having decorated walls for the holidays.I like that it's bright yellow (I loose things a lot), lightweight, and set up so you can screw it onto cheap extension polls. My pole is from Walmart's painting section, and it fits fine.One warning: it's tricky to use at first, at least if you're as bad with technical tasks as I am. I have trouble disengaging this big yellow hook from the object after I've successfully transferred the object to the hook on the wall.

Screwed this great tool on an extension pole and wow did the Christmas lights come down fast! Next year I'll try using it to hang them up as well. Glad I bought two so I can keep one with my radio gear. Highly recommended!

I use a pole with hook to retrieve and replace the bird feeders (and birdhouses) I have up high. For years I used a flimsy telescoping painters pole with a hook I hand-bent and attached to the end with a hose clamp. When I needed a new telescoping pole I bought a heavy duty one. At that time I decided to see if there were proper hooks that you can purchase for these poles and I was pleasantly surprised. There were many options but many of the hooks I found were too thick or were angled for other purposes. This one was perfect! The little notch on the end is the perfect size for the thin wire handles of all my hanging bird feeders and houses. I can easily use this to take down the feeders from 12 feet above my head.

Purchased this to put Christmas lights up on house and then to take them down. I was a bit skeptical at first. I had used one I got at the local hardware store that was green plastic specifically made to handle Christmas lights. It had a hooking device that stuck out 3 inches that seemed like it would be perfect. Alas, although it worked, the plastic was so flimsy that it quickly broke. AND, the replacement broke as well. Also, the provided pole was worthless. That prompted me to buy this product. It worked GREAT! Even though the hooking groves seem like they are thick and don't have enough of an angle, this product was wonderful. It is a well built plastic piece that threads right onto one of my good quality painting extension poles. Using that sturdy pole and this sturdy hook, I was able to do much of the lighting work from the ground. (Unfortunately, it won't connect the extension cords together for me or replace a burnt out bulb :-). I highly recommend this product for use with hanging and removing Christmas lights and garland!

I had installed cup hooks on my home so I could hang my icicle lights without climbing up a ladder-- the pole hanger attachment I used broke when I accidentally dropped the pole, and I was unable to find a replacement part-- it was only sold with the pole which I did not need-- this handy hook makes it easer to hang the lights than the original device that came with the pole--it holds the light string at the edge of the device and I can easily drop the light string into the hooks, and just as easily lift it back out-- I purchased 3 different pole attachments, and this one far surpassed the others.
