Serious problems with how they are made
I like wearing tabi socks but most of the ones I've tried are pretty thin, so I ordered these hoping they were a little thicker. They are certainly not as thick as an athletic sock or hiking sock, but they are thick enough for daily wear. But my problem isn't with the material - it's with the way the socks were knitted. These socks looked OK when they first arrived but, after being washed for the first time, 2 out of the 6 pairs ended up with the toes twisted 90 degrees out of alignment with the heel. For 2 bucks a pair, I'm not expecting top quality, so I'll keep them and see if the remaining pairs also twist out of shape with repeated washings. I'm also going to try rewashing the twisted ones and laying them flat to air-dry to see if that helps. I'll post a follow-up review and let you know.Updated September 6, 2018: The twisting has happened to all of the socks in the shipment. It seems to be a fault in the way that the socks are woven. Instead of the fibers running straight up from the toes to the ankle, they spiral around the foot of the sock. Once you dry the socks, the heel gets pulled sideways. So I'm dropping my prior rating to 1 star and looking for some other heavy weight tabi socks. Too bad, because these looked like they could have worked.

Happy Feet!
Good cotton tabis. Comfortable and warm with flip flops. They do shrink in the wash but stretch back out once on your feet. One quirk though. After laundering, the fabric twists so that the heel is on the side of the sock rather than underneath it. They still fit as long as the heel is directly below your big toe on your left foot and the heel is under your other toes on your right foot.Great customer service! There was one sock missing from the package I received and after contacting them I had a replacement in less than a week.I've only had them two or three weeks so I cannot speak for their durability.

100% Cotton and okay
I like the fact that they are 100% cotton and will be suitable for cool days. But my other toes feel all "squished up", the big toe sleeve is fine though. I haven't washed them yet, just tried them inside the house, will see how they do after washing. They maybe a little too warm during the summer; don't know yet. I do plan on wearing them with my Earthrunner sandals. They do feel soft and are comfortable except for the "squished" toe feeling. My wife washed them, then put them in the dryer--no problems.

Cool socks even if you are not a ninja.
I like these socks. I was having issues with shoes over the years forcing my toes to rub together. Provides relief and after a few weeks of wear appear to be holding up well. Product name should be changed however to Japanese Style Ninja Socks, for like 95% of everything, these are made in China.

Not great.
These socks are advertised to fit size 9-11, and with 10.5 size feet they are certainly too small. When washed, the socks deformed and some of the thread is already unraveling. I do not recommend them.

These seem to be at least mostly cotton so they're not what my son is used to for toe socks BUT he loves them. So I ordered more.
