1/4 Inch Thick Memory Foam Non-Slip Yoga Mats with Carrying Strap and Bag - Purple Orchid

My yoga studio is in an old building with hardwood floors and my knees are usually pretty unhappy with the thin mat I had purchased from a big box store. I'd been looking for a thicker mat, and this one seemed like a great option. I love the color and the fact that it comes with a carrying strap. I likely will not use the nylon bag unless it is stored, but it is a nice option. The elastic handle alone keeps the mat nicely rolled up and easy to transport. I laid out my old mat and this one for comparison. As you can see from the photos, my old mat (the one that is more of a pink color) is the same length, but stacked on top of each other this Jiva mat is clearly much thicker. There are probably denser mats out there, but for my purposes and as a casual yogi, this is a great upgrade from my old mat. The only complaint I have is that while it says "non slip" it will actually slide on a hard floor surface during yoga practice. Generally, it is a good mat except for being a bit slippery. The color has become a little patchy in places, otherwise it is very comfortable and soft. The mat did not fit well in the carry bag. It had to be rolled up tight enough to fit..

I've bought several mats and have been disappointed, either because of slippery they can be or how thick and bulky they can be - I don’t want to lug around a heavy, oversized mat after a long day of work. I was skeptical of buying another yoga mat that would end up falling apart on me after a few uses. But the Jiva yoga mat is AMAZING! I have been using it for yoga, working out at home, and my kids have been using it in their play area too! In fact, my little girl loves the color and likes to take it to her day care to sleep on. It's really lightweight and easy to carry-- she's only 5 and has no trouble with it! It is packaged really nicely, is super comfy for my joints, and has great grip. Plus, it is really durable with all the abuse it takes from me and my kids! It is by far the best yoga mat I have ever used and I am recommending it to everyone looking for a high quality mat. Plus you can't beat that it comes with carrying straps AND a bag!

Overall, the jiva yoga mat is OK. but, it is not a long term yoga mat due to the material. I would have rathar splurged on a maduka yoga mat that would have probably kept well for years. You get what you pay for.i think the reason why there are a lot of good reviews is because 70 percent of the mats were sponsored by the company for higher ratings.

The mat is adequately soft and cushy. Non-slip. Very light and the carrying belt is well fitted, So easy to carry, No mess, I also like the color. It is just as shown on PC.Just the delivery took almost two weeks, so you should consider it too.

Don't waste your money. First of all, this mat smelled so strongly of plastic after I unwrapped it, that I had to let it air in my basement for two weeks. I then used it for the first time this morning and the mat started disintegrating before my eyes. My trainer said that these mats should last for years - not for 5 minutes. It's almost as if the mat is made of an oily paper which rips easily. Terrible quality and major rip off!

This is a huge yoga mat! I am a bigger woman and this mat gives me full-bodied coverage. Even with its massive size, it rolls easily to a manageable size. I am very appreciative that it includes a simple handle mechanism as well as a bag for the mat. This added a nice level of versatility. This Jiva Yoga Non-Slip Memory Foam Yoga Mat worked wonderfully for my yoga workout. It provided good traction as well as a relaxing feel. I bought this mat to replace my poor 15 year old one which was looking pretty rough. I am very pleased. I was worried about it being slippery since I had recently purchased a new mat that was too slick. But this mat has a perfect amount of cushion, is beautiful, and I don't slip! I am very happy with it. The bag and strap are nice extras, even though I personally don't use them. I am a certified instructor, so I am picky about yoga products, but I am Very pleased with this mat, and recommend it highly.
