Fun to create and very relaxing activity
I am completely addicted to making these little cupcakes! I bought some additional plaster and I’ve probably made about 30 of them. I used my own acrylic paints and bought some good magnets to glue onto the back. I would also recommend getting some glossy glaze to give them a bit of shine. Really fun!I should note that the instructions for making the plaster aren't very clear. Definitely DO NOT wait 5-10 minutes after mixing. I used a food scale to measure out 100g of plaster and I used at least 80ml of water, possibly a bit more so that it will pour easily into the mold. You may need to wait more than an hour for them to dry but I also put my oven on the lowest setting (175 degrees) and put them in there after removing them from the mold to harden them completely.

Good for a Mommy & Me project for younger children who shouldn't yet have free rein with paint!
I bought this for my 5 year old grandniece to do as a "Mommy and Me project with her mom. They both loved it!! My niece is getting stick on magnets so they can put them on the refrigerator. This was a very cute craft that this little girl really enjoyed because she is a budding artist. Good work Genius Art.

Fun activity!!
I decided to get this because i thought it would be a fun activity for my daughter to paint. She's too young to do the plaster in the mold, so I did that part. It's pretty easy to do. Mix the plaster with water. There were no instructions with the kit, which is why I gave it four stars. I googled the name of the kit and a PDF of the instructions came up. It said mix 50-70 ml of water with the plaster. For me, it was about 60 ml. It was a little runny but it poured into the cupcake mold nicely. I would say it dried within 30 minutes. I did let it sit longer just in case. The cupcakes pop out of the mold easily. The kit says it comes with two bags of plaster, but I got three. For me, one bag did three cupcakes. It's a fun little project. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys artsy crafts.I received this product at a discount for my honest review.

Cute but confusing
Very cute, but no instructions! Had to read Amazon reviews to find out to add 50-70 ml of water, but no idea if that's for each packet or the total amount needed. Plus box says you get 2 packets of powder but we had 3

Fun and easy
Very short development time which is great when working with 4 year olds.

Very disappointing
We were all excited about using your kit but we didn't have much success. We needed instructions about the amount of plaster in each bag. When we added water we weren't sure what consistency to expect. We evidently didn't use enough water because we had trouble filling the molds. We only managed 4 before the mixture in the bowl was so hard that we had to throw away the bowl. Only 1 of the 4 molds came out in one piece. And it was not very pretty. We were very disappointed. Their father asked if we were making crafts or messes. We would recommend adding info on how much water should be mixed with each bag of plaster. A description of the optimum consistency of the pouring mixture should be included in the directions. If we were supposed to mix each bag of plaster separately because it hardens quickly, that info should also be mentioned. Finally, there was white cardboard or heavy paper things included in the kit with no info on their use.

Incorrect Instructions and Ingredients
This is a standard plaster of paris kit that literally should be add water, pour and wait. The first problem I have with the kit is that the instructions are completely wrong. It says wait 5-10 minutes after mixing with water to pour. If you actually did this the plaster would be solid by then. The second issue I have is that there are 2 pouches of plaster powder, ostensibly to allow you to use the kit twice before buying more. The problem is that each pouch has about 60g-75g of powder in it and the instructions call for 100g... why not make both pouches 100g? unless you already know how to use plaster of paris this kit would make you very angry, even knowing I was annoyed. There is also the problem of the mold, it is flimsy, like takeout/grocery store container plastic. It needs to be treated carefully or you won't get much use out if it. It is pretty though and there are several designs. I cannot comment on the paint because I didn't use it. The kit was such a disappointment I didn't think it was worth the frustration of using bad paint as well. The kit says "genius art" on it. I don't know if that is the brand or if they are pushing it as a stem product, but it is not a stem product. Honestly it just feels like a money grab. It is not worth 15$ but maybe 5$, something you'd get at 5 below.
