Great for steel toe boots
My new steel toe boots were causing me toe pain and blisters after several days in a row of wearing. I remembered that I had used a product similar to this to protect my toes when in point class as a child and went looking for them on Amazon but found this instead. They work wonderfully with my boots and have drastically reduced the pain. When paired with moleskin around sensitive spots my blisters have gone away. They do get a bit tacky feeling in very hot days, but I have found they will return to normal when cool. They get dirty (unsurprisingly) but I wash in the sink with dish or laundry soap and they will dry overnight for use again the next day.My only minor complaint is that they are a bit small. They have stretched out, but getting them to sit right in my feet and putting my foot in my shoe was a bit difficult at first. Due to how I use them I would have liked to wear them over my socks, but they are too small for that. Also, I wouldn't describe the material as a "gel." It is more like a soft silicon.

Great product
I ordered a pair of these to help cushion my toes in heels, especially pumps, as I tend to get sore spots on the tops of my toes when i wear shoes without socks or hosiery. They are really great, and also make flats, loafers and all other closed-toe shoes more comfortable. I eventually ordered about 8 pair so that I always have a clean pair. And I trimmed a couple of them so they do not show in heels that have a "lower-cut" profile, and that worked really well. They also hold up very well through washings, and even the pair that I trimmed do not fray or unravel on the edges where I trimmed them. I do wash them in a lingerie bag (like for hosiery or bras) on cold water and gentle cycle, and I let them air dry. I think these are a great product if your toes get uncomfortable in closed toe shoes, as they provide both gentle cushioning and some soft material between your feet and the inside of your shoes, which just makes the shoes more comfortable if you.

Useless
They are super thin and offer zero cushion. Essential a heavy duty, but not heavily padded, sock. Seem durable, but caused more discomfort than they relieved. They were way too wide, even for a size 9 shoe, so they had wrinkles that caused blisters. Fell off easily when putting shoe on. Don't waste your money.

great when one foot is larger than the other and your shoe is loose.
These work great! I have one foot slightly bigger than the other. Its worse when the larger foot is the left one, as shoe makers make the r shoe larger. Most people have a larger R foot so a larger left foot is a big whammy. Buy these!!! Wish I had found them years ago. Washable. soft. Comfortable.

Thinner than an Ouch Pouch, Thicker than a Half Sock
For pointe pad seekers, I alternate the Step 1 Pump Pouches, the Profoot Toe Pouch, and Bunheads Pro Pad. If you need or like something thicker than a half sock but thinner than the Pro Pad/Bloch Prima Pad, the Step 1 is a viable option. I get fit without padding, and in brand new shoes, I use the Step 1s until the shoes break in to where I then switch to the Pro Pad. Since I've cut these into a crescent/Ouch Pouch Jr. shape, I can confirm there is a very, very thin layer of gel between the two woven layers, but neither the Step 1 nor the Profoot has as cooling or firm a gel feeling as the Pro Pad/Ouch Pouch. For what they are and what they cost, my only negative is the Step 1 is a bit narrow/short. I wear a US street size 6.5 C or D, Euro 37 or 37.5, UK 4.5, a 3X width in pointes (and a Large in the Pro Pad/Ouch Pouch), and these are a tight fit across the metatarsal joints, which they don't fully cover length-wise. (The Profoot is less tight, a bit longer, and also thicker than the Step 1 and the Pro Pad.) If you like almost no padding in your pointe shoes, the Step 1s might work out for you!

They run very small
I wear size 9, can hardly get these over my toes (I do have wide feet)! I will still try to use them but will be a struggle to keep them in place, they kept popping off when I tried them on. I can't comment on comfort etc. as haven't used them yet.

Comfort
I purchased these pouches for relief on my fifth toe from surgery and they are great. I love that the pouch is just about the toe area, with the right length, and shape. They are a good item to have because a lot of shoes aren't designed with a cushioned interior around the toe area. I am very pleased with this purchase and will order again.

Help!
These toe socks almost met my expectations...I actually sought a pair that would enclose a bit more of the sole, and fit snugly over the toes, yet had an upper that would not reveAL above the border of a flat, or other no-tie footwear. The material of which this sock is made is "puffy" and it does fit snugly inside a pair of flats or Mary Janes, and cleans off in the washer/keeps my shoes from getting "yucky". However, I still seek a good brand to cover a bit more of the front of my foot, and be worn under clogs. Any suggestions?

Exactly what I needed
I wear these with many of my shoes. They are exactly what I needed to prevent blisters at the top of my toes while also wanting to look "barefoot" in my shoes.

Wouldn't recommend
I wish they either stayed on my toes more securely, or stuck to the actual inside of the shoe. Also they just make my toes extra sweaty.. :/ not much cushioning either
