Expertly crafted from solid Carrara marble, this tall design provides added depth, making it ideal for working with larger quantities or messier ingredients without spilling. Each piece features natural variations in color and veining, giving every set a unique look while offering durability and weight for efficient grinding. The heavy stone construction and textured interior of the mortar, paired with the rounded pestle head, make it simple to break down herbs, spices, nuts, seeds, and grains while speeding up preparation with minimal effort. Perfect for everyday cooking, it allows fresh preparation of curry pastes, pesto, guacamole, salsa, chutneys, tapenade, aromatic dry rubs, and spice blends. Grind cinnamon sticks, peppercorns, and coffee beans for fresher flavor, or make nut butters, hummus, and spreads with smooth consistency. It also prepares baking ingredients by crushing cookies, graham crackers, or nuts for crusts and toppings. Beyond the kitchen, this tall mortar and pestle set doubles as a pill crusher and serves as a valuable tool for preparing herbal blends, natural remedies, and homeopathic mixtures. It is even useful for aromatherapy, crafts, and DIY projects. Simple to use and easy to clean, just place ingredients in the mortar, grind with a circular motion using the pestle, and hand wash in warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. This Carrara marble set combines practical performance with elegant design, making it a standout addition to any kitchen or home decor. Hope this helps. **Q: is the interior smooth or grooved?** A: It is Grooved, which makes cleaning sometimes difficult , but nothing a good vinegar rinse wont get out. **Q: where is this made?** A: Either the webpage is wrong or manufacturer changed because I just bought this Aug 2022 and the box says made in china. I specifically purchased this mortar and pestle because it said it was made in Taiwan. Very disappointed. Would love to hear from seller. **Q: How deep is the inside of the mortar? Is it rough on the inside? Thanks!** A: It's about 2 inches deep and it is rough on the inside The tip of the pestle is also rough ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐ Bad Quality *by A***R on 20 April 2025* Very low quality.. it is already broken. Please avoid. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice *by A***V on 14 November 2024* This was smaller than we expected but better because of it as not so balky and room hog. Grinds nicely. Happy with it.
