Heddolf 312 Mhz Frequency Transmitter Garage Door Opener

This Heddolf garage door opener works perfectly. It has good range, so clicking on it while still in the street as I approach our driveway, opens the door just fine (the door is metal, with small windows, and the signal gets through). The opener comes with a standard 9v battery, which gives it good power, good range, and should last a long time. There are 9 jumper switches which are easy to set to correspond with the old remote. Before the Heddolf opener, we had installed a Skylink G6V, which was total junk - only worked about every fifth push of the button, and had no range. We had to get out of the car and stand in front of the door. Get this Heddolf opener, you will not be disappointed.

This was easy to set up and worked perfectly. The one issue is that the signal is weaker than the remote I am replacing and that is annoying when you are in the alley trying to get into the garage.

Remote never worked in cold weather. Had to shake and press numerous times in the winter to get it to work. Now it's just plain broken since the push-button snapped off and fell in. Too bad it's the only brand I could find that uses this frequency. I think I'll just get a new garage door opener package instead. I could use one with a stronger motor anyway.

I bought this to replace the expired 20 year old remote for an Amarr door. The set up was easy since I had the old one and could see the switch positions on it. Once I opened this one up and made it's switches the same as the old one, it worked the first try, and every time since. Our old car had a built-in door opener transmitter, but the new car doesn't, so we had to find a new remote. This one has served well for the past month, being clipped to the visor in the car. The range is better than the built-in one on the old car, too.

This was a great replacement for my lost remote. it was easy to program the dip switches. Has great range.
