This insulated travel mug comes in a spectrum of bright, super-saturated colors. The Forge Divide is all-terrain mug that makes it easy to drink coffee or tea one-handed, with a drinking valve that opens with the press of a button, and then seals shut to prevent leaks or spills. The leak-proof cap means you can confidently toss the Forge Divide into your bag without soaking your stuff. If you're sipping more frequently, just press the lockout button to keep the cap open. Ready to clean your mug? The drinking valve pops open for easy cleaning-there aren't any hidden parts that will collect gunk.

Well designed lid, but the this "Plastic Liner Forge Divide version" leaks, under pressure, the Regular Forge has a SS-liner
CamelBak makes two versions of the "Forge". The regular "Forge", and this cheaper "Forge Divide" version. The regular forge has a Stainless Steel cup, inside-liner and out, with stainless screw on threads, and this, "cheaper, Forge-Divide version" uses a black plastic insert, with plastic threads that leak under pressure, and it is harder to visibly check to be clean.I have both versions. This, "cheaper, Forge-Divide version" because of the plastic-insert screw-on-threads, leak at the seal, because the plastic flexes, and leaks because of the pressure created by hot liquids. Both versions have the same very well designed lid, that is easy to clean. This "cheaper Forge-Divide versions" plastic liner will taint with strong flavors, and will lose thermal heat faster than the more expensive "full stainless" version. The full stainless version is painted on the outside, and some folks complain about paint chipping, but the inside is not painted, and I think it is much more sanitary.

Terrible compared to the 12oz Forge. Here's why...
I have the regular 12 oz. Forge and love it!!! However it is too small. I wanted a larger cup so I can bring more coffee with me so I ordered this, the Forge Divide. This cup is not good though. The inside isn't stainless still, it's plastic. In addition the bottom half gets very hot, something that never happens with the other one although it keeps the coffee super hot for hours. My coffee was cold after an hour with this cup. I regret my purchase.

great but discontinued ;(
So my company is looking for an automatic close water bottle to distribute to our employees to help fight Foreign object damage (FOD). Most of the other auto close bottles have a lot of mechanics on the underside of the cap that can easily get contaminated if you use anything but water in them. This was the only one I found that had no internal mechanics and was easy to clean. But Camelbak has discontinued this version, and now we have to go out and try to find something again.

New Design is Inferior
Disappointed in the new design. This is my 2nd CamelBak Forge. I lost my first one and decided to try the new “Divide” style. SO INFERIOR to the original. My 1st Forge kept my coffee HOT for several hours (about 3 and warm for almost 5 hours).... my coffee this morning was cold in an hour! I’m totally disappointed and disgusted that I spent $20 on this useless mug..... it performed like something from the Dollar Store. I’m a teacher and NEED my coffee!

Doesn't insulate very well; buy the Forge (not Divide) instead
I have the Forge and thought (still do) it was a superlative travel thermos mug. This Forge Divide looked like it would be a good, cheaper version, but I was sadly mistaken. It claims to be insulated, and it might be, but it is pretty poor insulation. Both the outside plastic and metal parts heat up quickly, unlike the Forge which keeps the outside at room temp (and therefore the contents hot). Gave it a couple of stars for the decent top which helps minimize the potential for gulping scalding liquid.

Does not keep drink warm for more than 20-30 min!
As others have stated, this mug does NOT keep your drink warm! I made a cup of tea before leaving the house this morning the same way I used to in my Contigo and by the time I got to work (20min) and took my first sip the drink was barely warm. My Contigo would keep the tea hot and last for 2 hours. I bought this mug because my Contigo is leaking around the lid. I really like the lid mechanism of the CamelBak, but I am returning it to get the stainless steel vacuum sealed version on Amazon.

Does not keep beverages hot.
This mug is terrible. I loved the last version of the Forge and needed a new one. I made my tea as usual, threw it in my bag since these are lea-proof and 20 minutes later when I arrived at my destination and pulled my tea out to take a drink it was lukewarm at best. The previous all metal version kept my tea hot for hours. This plastic lined one does not. I would give this zero stars if possible. Pay the extra money and buy the discontinued version.

disappointing in keeping the drink warm, only good looking
I am going to return this product. it cools the coffee with 30-40 mins and keeping drink warm for 6hrs is just a lie. it looks pretty, but doesn't work well. I tried to fill the cup with boiling hot drink but it cooled down within 30-40 mins. when it is really cold outside and you want to have a sip of your warm drink from this mug, all you will get a cold, almost room temperature drink.

All insulated mugs are not created equal..
I bought this mug to replace a Camelbak forge mug which I'd lost - thinking that the main differences were the price and the size of the mug (this one is about £10 cheaper than the smaller mug which I lost). I love my original mug, which keeps my drinks hot for several hours and has the most convenient one handed opening mechanism of any travel mug I've used.Unfortunately the difference between the two mugs was instantly apparent when I opened this one. Where my other mug had an all metal body with a sealed vacuum layer to keep drinks insulated, this cup has a metal outer body, and an inner plastic body, and no discernible insulation at all. This is essentially a plastic cup with a thin metal case an almost no thermal properties. The difference was further demonstrated when pouring boiling water into this cup. With my other Camelbak Forge mug, there was almost no heat transfer when you put boiling water inside it. With this cup the outer metal heated up so quickly that it was nearly too hot to touch after a few minutes! Not really 'insulated' in any meaningful sense of the word. And as you would expect the drink cooled down almost as quickly as it would in any other un-insulated mug.The only thing in the mugs favour is that it has the same useful one-handed drinking mechanism (although built from cheaper plastic than other models in the range). So if you're looking for a non-insulated mug which is easy to carry and use one-handed then this is an expensive option, but not the worst. If, however, you're looking for a decent insulated mug which will keep your drinks hot, DON'T purchase this one - instead be prepared to pay a bit more for the all metal 'Camelbak Forge Vacuum' version, which is superior in every respect.

Does not keep your coffee warm - cold after 30 minutes!
This did not keep my coffee warm at all and I sent it back within a week. Was really disappointed as had a similar version from CambelBak for about 3 years and it keeps my coffee toasty warm. I bought this as a back up when I forget to wash the other one - bought a different make from Amazon in the end.

No leaks but not great at keeping things warm
appears well made, nice style and drink spout and lid have a good seal and don't leak. I like the trigger press to open the spout which auto closes after. However I've only given this 2 stars as the metal part of the cup gets very hot as soon as you put a drink in it indicating that the thermal insulation isn't great. Usually my hot drink is lukewarm after a couple of hours which is disappointing given the price and some review sites boasting it can keep drinks warm for up to 8 hours. Will probably go for another brand next time which is a shame as apart from the heat retention issue this is a great flask.

Avoid
I wouldn’t buy this again, I meant to buy the forge insulated. This doesn’t keep your drink warm for very long. Personally keep your cash and buy the insulted flask version. It should be made clearer exactly what the difference between the the two models is.

Speedy delivery, but disappointed
Speedy delivery, but disappointed with the product. I've had similar camelbak travel cups before. Which have worked really well, keeping my coffee hot. But these seem to loose their heat really quickly. Maybe something to do with the plastic lining. I bought them to replace my older cheaper site cups. Not impressed.

A little bit disappointed when compared to the standard forge.
Having previously bought a camel bak forge, I thought I would get this for my wife. She was most disappointed with the thermal properties. It not as good as the orginal forge. Ideal if you want to drink your hot drink straight away. But not good for 3+hours

Must have for coffee to go
Brilliant travel mug, so good im thinking about buying a spare. Very well build and doesn’t feel like it has any weakness or vulnerability Like my previous one.

Plastic inner
Although it a good product, I didn’t realise it has a plastic inner and not stainless steel therefore the drink doesn’t stay as hot as it would if the inner was stainless steel so slightly disappointed in the product.

Expensive for what it is
Ok cup but does not keep drinks hot for up to 6 hours, even if you pre warm with hot water first. I use it for football watching my child play. Also when filled you have to have the cup lid vented otherwise the pressure is too much and it will leak around the thread.

Not recommended
Great in theory however only retains heat for an hour at most and due to the inner walls being made of plastic whatever you drink has a plastic-y taste to it.

Great travel mug. This is my second. Will not retain heat to level of flask/fully Insulated mug. Works fine for a commute. Easy to clean. Does not leak. Comfortable to drink from and trigger release seems sturdy.

Great travel mug...
Great mug to keep your drink safe on the move. Better at keeping its temperature than a mug or paper cup but doesn't keep it at a drinkable temperature for more than 2 hrs in my opinion.

Rubbish
I bought this mug for my wife to have a hot coffee in the for the school run. Hot coffee went in the cup 20min later a luke warm and that’s being generous. It makes a prefect hand warmer but I hope you like cold tea/coffee and cold chocolate. Absolutely rubbish!!! NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR

Poor insulation - perfect for some!
This flask will keep your drink warm for around an hour, which for some (like me) is perfect. I have another flask which keeps my drink hot for 6 hours+ which is great, but it means my drink is pretty hard to actually drink! Also, the outside of flask gets quite warm, which will keep your hands nice and warm, but again, indicates this flask isn't the best insulator!
