Not bad, but didnt rock my socks
When i got my fitbug, the battery was dead. Had to go out and get a new battery. wasn't a super huge deal, but if it comes with a battery, i do expect that battery to be good. I didnt bother contacting fitbug/seller since it would just be quicker to go and get the battery myself. Also, the wrist strap doesn't accurately detect steps per day. I compared my fitbug results with a regular pedometer, and theres quite a bit of difference. I will try the belt clip and see. I'd imagine it would be more accurate anyway. Was hoping the wrist strap would work better though :/ I do suggest to double and triple check the compatibility with your phone. Stupid me, apparently I don't know what phone I had, and had to order the laptop adapter to be able to use this thing.3 stars for dead battery and because the wrist strap was off by nearly 1000 steps. If I have no problems with the belt clip, will keep as 3 stars. If I do have problems, will come back and edit.Edit: Used with the belt clip on my right hip, and I guess it only calculated my right steps, not all steps. It's missing about half of what I walked today. No way in the fitbug app to manually edit steps taken (not that I can find, at least). Not happy with this purchase at all.

A pain to use
I read the reviews before buying, both positive and negative ones, and decided to get it since (a) it was cheaper than the competition, (b) is the underdog, and (c) looks cool. After numerous attempts to get it to work, I gave up and returned it. My major complaints were:- extreme difficulty syncing to my Nexus 4 with up-to-date Android. I would literally spend 30 min at a time turing bluetooth on and off, pushing the button on the Orb, at times giving up. Why should it be so difficult?? This is a huge issue since the Orb doesn't have a screen, so the only way for me to know if I'm close to reaching my goal for the day is through phone sync.- inaccuracy in steps measuring. I bought a cheap pedometer with a screen and wore it on one side of my hip and the Orb on the other for a couple days. One day, the difference was a few thousand steps (roughly 6K on the cheap one and 3K on the Orb.) Not acceptable. Other days, the difference was smaller, but I did not want to worry about not meeting my 10K goal for health benefit purposes just because of the malfunctioning device.Another issue which, however, was not a dealbreaker, is the ease of setup. I tried doing it through the app, per the instructions, and what a pain it was.... First it refused to accept the device code. After about an HOUR of trying, I succeeded. Then it was stuck on the wrong state for the address, and no matter what I did, it did not want to choose Ohio. Then it marked me as male, and no amount of effort could convince the stupid drop-down box otherwise. I've never really seen this before -- you choose an option in the drop-down, and it stubbornly reverts to something else, over and over and over again. Same with a couple other things when setting up my profile through the app. Turns out that everything could've been done through the website with much ease, but for some reason there was no mention of it in the instructions. On the positive side, support was great and I got responses to my email questions pretty fast.I have since purchased a somewhat more expensive competitive product which has been extremely easy to use and to set up.I really want this company to succeed, and was contemplating whether I should leave a negative review or not. Ultimately I decided that they should know about the numerous issues with their product. Hope they learn from their mistakes and from the competitors.

Company went out of business--no app support
I am disappointed that they would even sell something that has no way of being used.

Company is shutdown and so is the app! Don't Buy!
This is really disappointing that Amazon continues to sell products that are new but the company has since shutdown and is no longer providing support for the devices or the apps associated! Action is needed to stop these types of sales by Amazon.

It doesn't count about 20% of my steps. On a 1 mile walk, it dropped over 400 steps! I am returning it. I have decided to amend this a bit - the Orb is probably great if you are counting steps on a longer, uninterrupted walk/run. It doesn't seem to be sensitive enough if you are trying to count steps while walking around the house or shopping or walking a dog - any time you have to stop frequently. It doesn't count a lot of those steps.

I would recommend just investing a Fitbit
Never worked even after contacting customer support! I would recommend just investing a Fitbit, much easier. This truly wasn't worth the hassle and I sent it back

I got great customer service from this company after I lost my Orb shortly after purchase. They reached out to me yesterday and shipped out the replacement immediately! I have no issues with the products functionality, the product does for me what I got it for! I love the gadget!

Fantastic FitBug!
I was bought one of these clever little devices for Christmas and I have to say it's absolutley brilliant!! It was so easy to set up, I just had to download the app and it now tracks my steps and monitors my sleep etc. and remits the data seamlessly to my smartphone and tablet by bluetooth. There are many higher cost devices on the market which largely do the same thing, so in terms of value for money FitBug rates very highly for me. In my opinion, FitBugs USP is the 3 x main differentiators. Firstly, it does not need to be regularly re-charged as many devices do and, secondly, it is much more discrete because you can just put the tiny little orb in your pocket or on your belt (which is great whilst at work) rather than having to wear an additional 'watch like' instrument on your wrist - however, it can be worn on the wrist too should you wish, which is especially useful at night for monitoring sleep. Finally, it can also be linked with the "Kiqplan" app, a weight loss and fitness training and coaching tool which is unique to Fitbug!Overall, having a FitBug is a great tool for tracking activity as a means of improving overall fitness and ultimately weight loss. I find knowing how active I've been (or not as the case may be!) really useful as I often find myself doing extra steps just to get my stats up!!Don't hesitate, give it a go.

Best value on the market
Superb product. I like it's futuristic look. I wear as a clip on belt. Highly addictive - great motivational and monitoring tool for training. Syncs data quickly to my samsung S3 app. Only feedback is improve the visibility of the syncing functions on the orb.

Nice to have this as a wrist band and belt clip option, but band is little finicky to do and sometimes comes undone if brushed against and often falls off whilst sleeping. To get the sleep function you have to press sequence of buttons before going to sleep which I have never done so not good bit of functionality in my opinion.
