Be sure to clean out the rust first and follow the directions. **Q: Will this work for repairing the end of a fiberglass pole w/bondo?** A: It would have to be big enough to cover the hole. I would recommend using Tiger Paw adhesive and using a nail through center of the patch. The Nail to go in from the inside face of the patch to protrude toward you.. Push the patch in to the hole and pull against the inside edge which you have previously applied the Tiger Paw. When you have the patch as even as possible to the pole's shape Let it dry 30 - 60 minutes. Then apply the bondo let it dry for 30 minutes or more and sand it down to your desired smoothness. If the pole is a fine finish you may have to gradually raise the sanding disc from 220 to 600. Hope this helps.
