Wedgie Auto Cupholder - Taupe

This cup holder will only work if you don't plan on ever having anyone sit in the back seat. The first time my daughter went to get in the back seat and raised the front seat up....there went the cup full of coffee that was in this cup holder wedged into the seat. Oh well, live and learn. Snazzy German engineering sure didn't think of useable cup holders in my cute VW New Beetle. This cup holder is in the yard sale pile now.

Handy device that makes up for the lack of enough cup holders in my car. The only minor problem is that it does get in the way when attaching the seat belt.

We own a Pontiac Solstice and the cup holder broke (the Solstices have a record for broken cup holders). To replace it would have cost $100 and it could break again. We tried the old fashioned cup holders that hang off the doors near the window but they wouldn't fit. My husband found this cupholder on a different site meant for small sports cars for around $30. I looked on Amazon and found the same type (probably a different maker) but less expensive. We decided for the $5 + shipping that it would be worth the try. So we ordered it, it arrived quickly and works awesome! Used it today for the first time and the coffee cup survived the trip to work. It has a place for 2 separate drinks and either a cell phone or coin holder. The downside is if anyone sits in the passenger seat, it would need to be removed. But that is OK with us. It just slides in and out easily, I usually drive it to work and no one sits in the passenger seat. So it works for us and we couldn't be happier!
