This is a good case. It makes testing go faster, actually. I fill a bottle with enough water to do all the tests I need to do, and carry it and the case to a table. Case keeps everything organized and easy to access. Easy to move test kits around en masse. Easy to find what I need.It is solid and I have a strong feeling it will last for a long time. The material inside is not cheap, thin material. It is dense and solid. Holds things tightly in place. Test kits from API that use APIs bottles and test tubes fit perfectly and tightly into their storage spaces. I found that my test kits from Red Sea don't work quite as well. They use different bottles for their reagents that don't really have a home in the case, so I keep them in small ziplock bags to keep them a bit more contained. I place them in one of the large bottom slots. It works, but it's not as slick as the API kits.My hydrometer didn't fit in the spaces designed for it. The hydrometer was a bit too large. I usually use a refractometer anyway, so I keep that in the kit and have the hydrometer stored outside the case.Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

This is a nicely built case, as good as any of my astronomy cases which protect expensive telescope eye pieces. That being said, this case carries nicely all the API testing bottles and additives for aquarium care. The foam is very appropriate for its use, being more dense and therefore more repellent to liquids that may leak or spill. Improvising (arrangement) of products/tools into most cavities is limited only by one's imagination.For example, I keep 4 - 16 X 150mm test tubes under the elastic straps in the misc cavity, top layer. These hold powdered medications including aquarium salt. Nice to have everything together. Again, very pleased with this case!

Great if you're using all API kit, wish they offered one that fits the salifert or red sea kits, though! It'd also be nice if rather than an insert for a hydrometer, it had inserts for a refractometer and TDS/PH meters... and fragging / aquascaping tools. No one case is going to please all comers, this makes the best attempt I've seen thus far.

This is almost perfect. The design and fit are really thought out. Everything fits well. One suggestion: put some restraining bands in the four reagent recesses on the bottom. The ones in the top have bands, but not in the bottom. Things bounce around when I store my case vertically. Test tube slots are a bit deep and it's a little difficult to get them out if they are pushed in too far. This could be remedied by making them less deep so when the tube in inserted it still is slightly raised to grab onto when removing. Also, there are some narrow slots in the bottom that aren't pictured on the Amazon website. Just wondering what those were for. Overall, a great case.

Overall very good product. But I would echo what others have said. The foam is VERY stiff and only accommodates the API test kit bottles. I would suggest going with a more pliable foam that would allow other shaped test kits to be stored in this case. If a softer foam was used they could still use the elliptical cut outs for the test bottles and other bottles could still be inserted. As of now, the foam is so dense that it has no "give". Also, because the foam is so dense you can see the imperfections where it wasn't glued up exactly straight much more easily.

Very nice case. Beats the heck out of the bucket I had been using. Will help my check my tank more often and take better care of my test kit.

Very nice storage kit. I would have liked to have more test tube spaces than it's designed to hold, but it does have plenty of slots for all the chemical bottles.
