Male on one end, female on the other? Sorry for the newbie question!** A: Typically, for a 3/8 inch air hose, there will be a 1/4" MNPT (male national pipe thread) nipple factory attached to each end of the hose. To add quick disconnects to the hose you will need a Quick Disconnect COUPLER (adapter), size 1/4 inch, with 1/4" FNPT (1/4" female national pipe thread) for the tool end of the hose. For the compressor end of the hose, if your compressor is equipped with a Quick Disconnect Coupler, you will only need a 1/4" size Quick Disconnect NIPPLE with 1/4" FNPT (1/4" female national pipe thread) for attaching to your air hose. If your compressor is not equipped with a Quick Disconnect you can simply attach the compressor end of the hose directly to the discharge port of your air compressor regulator. Depending on the size of the regulator discharge port, adapter bushings may be required to fit the 1/4" MNPT threading of the typical 3/8" air hose. In any case when you buy Quick Disconnect Couplers and Nipples always buy the same type and size. Quick Disconnect fittings are available in many different types and sizes. The INDUSTRIAL EXCHANGE type, and the UNIVERSAL EXCHANGE type are by far the most common types of Quick Disconnects. They are interchangeable with each other as well as with most other common types of Quick Disconnect fittings. I have never seen a portable air compressor factory equipped with a Quick Disconnect Coupler that did not accept both the Industrial Exchange, and the Universal Exchange type of Quick Disconnect Nipple in the 1/4 inch size. In this instance, 1/4 inch size is referring to the nominal size of the quick disconnect fitting, NOT the pipe thread size of the fitting. **Q: Does this 3/8 50' hose come with brass end fittings?** A: Aluminum 1/4" MNPT fittings on both ends of hose. **Q: how do i exchnge for the warranty? i haveone with the black end blown off after purchasing it in August of 2017** A: Hello, We are sorry to hear the end of your hose has come off. Please contact our warranty department at 800-645-8258 X 121 and we will work with you to process the warranty. Thank you, Team Flexzilla **Q: The picture shows 3 50ft hoses do you get 3 or just 1 50ft hose?** A: Just one hose. I do like this hose better than the ones I had before. It doesn't kink or stay curled up. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Que no se dobla *by on Reviewed in Mexico 1 September 2018* Genial la manguera, quedó contento con la compra. The line is very durable and very flexible. I was sick of fighting with my old style rubber lines that did not want to coil up or wrap up. With the flex Zilla you can effortlessly coil it up or wrap it up in a mount. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ممتاز *by on Reviewed in Saudi Arabia 26 October 2025* ممتاز ## Frequently Bought Together - Flexzilla Air Hose, 3/8 in. x 50 ft., 1/4 in.
