The case will hold 20 to 25 picks. One can collect cases quite quickly. **Q: Can you use these instead of flossing? I hate flossing.** A: They don't clean the point at which 2 teeth come together (a common site of tooth decay) and they don't slide under the gum tissues. So, no! They do remove some dental plaque but only to a very limited degree. The most important plaque to remove is under the gum line for which floss is required. They should only be used once and thrown away. If you don't have recession or spaces between the teeth, you probably don't need them A water irrigation device (Water Pik, etc.) can be of some help for non-flossers but the gold standard is still dental floss.
