Pretty good, does the job
This is a neat little ring that works fine but has a few flaws. What it does Ok is what it’s meant to do. That is connect a Nikon lens to cannon mount and allow aperture adjustment. So that’s good. It’s well made and good vfm. Now the things that can be done better. So you need to push a little tag to release the adaptor from the lens. I’d prefer if that was done away from the rear element of the lens with a lever. It would cost more but I would pay for that. The other issue is the ring can be quite tight on some Nikon lenses. I think the tolerances need a bit of work on the adaptor. Having said that it has never got stuck.

A solid and precise adapter for some great vintage lenses.
This is one of my favourite adapters for M42 lenses onto EF cameras, with its built in aperture flange, making it perfect for many lenses that do not have a manual aperture switch. This was especially important for using my Helios 44M-4.It is also one of the most precisely machined adapters I've known. Zero give, focus is spot on. I will be sure to purchase another, to give myself easy switching between more lenses.

Lock needs to be tighter
Absolutely fine. Well made, slim and In focus but when tweaking the aperture you may undock the lens

Product had clearly been used previously on arrival
Product had clearly been used previously on arrival as there were marks on it. I was almost going to return but for such a small item decided I would keep as works fine. Not overly impressed though from Amazon and would think twice about buying more expensive photography items

Olympus OM to Canon EF via Viltrox to MFT!
Having already purchased Urth's Canon to Micro 4/3s for vintage OM glass, I then bought a Viltrox Speed Booster for Canon EF... thereby necessitated buying this adapter to then act as a shim-fit between OM and EF on my MFT camera - double stacked lens adaptation!Despite the convolution, it works acceptably well enough for my needs. For what it is, possibly a tad on the expensive side, though not by crazy amounts. The star rating offers a value for 'Auto focus' which is moot as the OM lenses are not electronic and the adapter has no support if they were.

It will damage your lens! Avoid
The adaptor is very poorly constructed, I bought the EF - Contax/Yashica version. The EF side slides around and doesn't lock onto the body so could drop off in use. The worse thing though is on the Contax side a cheap and nasty bit of bent metal (described as a lever) digs into the lens mount. On mine the metal tab was also twisted so would not disengage the lens mount even when pressed. You are then messing around about 7mm from your rear exposed lens element. In the end, had to use 3.75mag loupes and LED light to get a microscrew driver in the space and deflect it out. This item belongs in the bin. Don't risk ruining your equipment. See photos
