Q: how does the multipoint connectivity on it actually work? Can it connect to a desk phone and a mac and toggle?

I do believe this is incorrect. I have it connected to my computer, cell phone, and desk phone. I only disconnect it from one of them since the limit is indeed 2 (typically my cell phone when at work). It works with my desk phone since it is bluetooth, and I do not have to disconnect to pick up a call if I'm listening to music on my PC. It switches itself. I can also be connected to the deskphone bluetooth, and Cell phone bluetooth at the same time with no issue.

Q: Can you use the wireless headset while it is charging?

No, it charges while it is in the stand. I quit my work day before it quits me, and I listen to music (8 to 10 hours). This is a solid product for the office or home office.

Q: Does it have an audible prompt to tell you when you are on or off mute as well? Does it interrupt the conference call to tell you each time?

The answer below mentions the headset many times answered the call in mute. This happens when you do not have the headset on over the ear. The automatic feature mutes headset when it is not on properly. Very intuitive device, it's like it knows you are removing it and mutes.

Q: Does this headset work with cell phones?

Very well! I purchased these for my wife as a replacement for a Plantronics Savi Dect 6.0. She really enjoys the clarity that the Voyager set has over the Savi. The Voyager Focus headphones provide an excellent experience as a phone headset.
