I'm very happy with this purchase because it perfectly suits my purpose. I cut these into 8"x 11" smaller boards to wrap my fabric around. Each board gave me 7 boards (I cut the leftover strip in half and stuck them together with strong, white tape). There wasn't an inch of waste left. I will definitely purchase again. It is about 1/4 inch thick. When I got my package it only contained 1 board--not 5 as listed. **Q: Would this form board work well as a protest sign for outside use? Could you use permanent marker on it?** A: Only in clement weather; best indoors. Surface is bond paper, permanent markers work, though they may bleed a bit. **Q: Are both sides of the board usable?** A: Both sides are usable.
