The good:- very attractive- natural materials (all wood)- light weight- packs small- easy to assembleThe bad:- too small for many laptops- not secure (laptop easily dislodged)- can be inadvertently be knocked apartI'm using this stand regularly with a MacBook Pro or Air, so it does the job. The stand had to be secured with two nylon cable ties on the dowel, used as stops to prevent me from knocking either side off the dowel. Although I am not taking precautions, it would be easy to bump or tip the laptop over the back, because the stand is small and there is no lip at the front to hold down the laptop. If you have a secure spot to set this up and a small laptop or tablet, this stand will do the job and look great. Otherwise, you might want something more utilitarian.

Small and cheap looking

This really needs a lip on the front holders to keep the laptop sturdy.If you open your laptop much past vertical, it will try to slide out. A lip on the front would hold it down.

I spend a lot of time with my laptop on my coffee table. It’s one of those larger-size laptops and frankly it’s not very comfortable lying on my lap. If you’ve used a laptop on a coffee table you know that it creates an uncomfortable position forcing you to hunch over your computer. This laptop stand is the ideal solution to raise and tilt the keyboard to put it into a much more natural position.But I wouldn’t want an ugly plastic or metal stand in my living room. My décor is mostly light natural wood. Zonso showed me the ideal solution with their all-natural wood laptop stand. They offered one to me at a discount (otherwise I would have never heard of it) but I assured them that my opinion would be 100% my own if I reviewed it. I liked it enough to share my thoughts with you.The stand is very minimalistic … two mirror-image wood end pieces connected with a wooden dowel. You insert the dowel yourself and there is no need for fasteners, as the whole idea is that you can take it apart and put it into your laptop case to travel with it. I have actually never found a laptop stand that was sturdy enough to hold a larger-size laptop but yet small and lightweight enough to travel with.I’ve looked at about 8 pages full of all sorts of laptop stands here and I know it is a matter of personal taste but none of them except this one are attractive to me and some of them cost at least twice as much. Considering how well it is made, how nice it looks and the reasonable price I like this stand a lot. I will probably buy a few of them as gifts.

nice looking and great craftsmanship, not the right fit for my laptop though....has to be in the correct spot, or everything wants to tip over.

This is a very nice laptop stand that looks great and is not the run of the mill office product. Works as designed and holds your laptop at the perfect angle for use on your desk. Only downside that I could find is that the cross member dowel does not stay in the holes as it should. This creates a problem when you try to pick the stand up with a laptop on it. It kind of falls apart. I fixed this by using gorilla glue and gluing it permanently together.Sample provided for this review.
