Best Pruning Shears We Ever Found!
My wife is the past president of the Bay Village Garden Club. We have a small yard, yet the grounds are highly planted. We need good pruning shears. Secondly, my wife has a rare hand disease called Dupuytren's. Named after the French doctor who categorized it in the 1800s. This causes constriction of fingers. We found these shears and we LOVE them. The blade is super sharp. The mechanical system design allows very low force to cut good sized plants. The hand guard is a unique feature. We have many plants that need trimming. Highly recommend this design. We tour gardens in USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Spain, France and Italy always seeking new plants for our gardens. Very pleased
I like these. It was slightly disconcerting at first the way they roll a bit in the hand (don't know how else to describe it but I am used to it and it poses no hazard. Perhaps it will, as other reviewers may have stated, spread the weight such that it is less fatigue on the hand.) I have pruned 3/4 inch branches though it took a 2-handed squeeze for me. It cut cleanly. My issue with past pruning shears is the short longevity. So I am taking better care of these (not leaving them outside, even in something, and oiling them with WD40 after every use) and expect they will hold up longer. I did not adjustments at all except to open them. Im satisfied.

You need big hands to operate these clippers.
These clippers sounded like a better fit for my hands and needs than they have turned out to be. turning handle makes it difficult to maintain my grip. They are sharp and clip well when I can manage to get my small hands to close them. Speaking of closing them my biggest concern is that I can NOT get the clippers locked closed for when I am not using them. The little lever that is supposed to hold the blades from being able to open does not catch the little cogs. A grave disappointment for safely storing the clippers.

Best pruners!
I love these pruning shears - now I can actually prune in the garden without getting blisters! I didn't realize how bad my previous pruners were until I began using these. And I love the fact that they are for both hands - I'm right-handed, but my mom can only use her left hand since suffering a stroke. She can use these easily as well.I could not be more pleased - you certainly make a great product and I will look for other Gardenbrite products in the future.

What a WONDERFUL FIND!!
I really had no plans to buy a new pair of pruning shears, but my old ones have gone MIA! However, I am THRILLED to report that because I HAD to replace them these pruning shears are EVERYTHING I was hoping for! I recently acquired a 'trigger thumb' and zowie...trying to use regular shears would have been torture! I can't praise these pruners enough! They made short work of pruning all the old peony growth and I will treasure these and definitely make sure I KNOW where they are at all times!

Pruning shears
The lock on these shears is out of alignment therefore the cannot be securely locked. The shears take a little practice to use. I cannot tell yet if they work better for my arthritic hand since I have not used the shears for pruning my rose bushes.

Bought them as a gift for my wife. She said it took a couple of cuts to get used to the twisting handle, but once she got used to it, she loves them.
