Lots of plastic, not cheap for what it is
I bought it to fit my spare HDD. The fit of the disc was a bit hard, o mean I had to push it a bit hard to fit it inside this bracket. One screw seemed a bit out of alignment. The actual item fits well inside the case bay (case Corsair). I wish they were making these out of metal.

Works but holes don't match 3.5 drive
Used this to replace a DVD bay in a Dell OPtiplex 7010 DT pc with a 2TB 3.5 inch hard drive. The caddy worked well in the end however the holes in the caddy did not line up properly with the screw holes on the drive (I checked another brand of 3.5 inch drive too but it was exactly the same). I basically got it to work by filing the hole on the caddy to make it bigger by using a pen knife which took about 15 minutes of faffing about. For this reason I've knocked a star off but would still recommend buying this since there don't appear to be alternatives apart from anything else!

Good adapter
Decided to take out my old DVD drive, that I never use anymore, and add an SSD to my desktop machine. As the DVD drive was SATA, the cables were already there. Five minute job to remove the old drive and replace with this adapter with an SSD mounted on it. Worked fine.

A nice extension for an extra SSD or HDD, but may not fit smoothly...
It's a nice extension for an additional SSD or HDD.. It is okay product, but may not fit smoothly particularly with a brand PC or Workstation such as HP, Dell, etc... I was trying to use it on my HP Z640 workstation, but wasn't a smooth fit from the edges and cables management were an issue..

Did the job
My SSD fitted easily into the adapter which fitted easily into my computer.

a bit of a squeeze
Easy to fit, all the screws etc i needed however the actual 3..5" slot was a VERY tight fit I was putting a 2.3 to 3.5 caddy into it but i can't see it being any easier with a disk

It fills a hole...
Can't really say much on this one, it's a bit of plastic and some metal that fills a hole. I needed to have some ports to the front of my PC (USB / HDMI) and had a 3.5inch bay for this. No idea why as no one uses floppy drives any more. Well rather than dangling it loose in a 5.25 inch hole I used this lovely bit of plastic and metal.

Akasa 2.5/3.5 - 5.25-Inch Mounting Adapter
This is a plastic part but is quite well finished.Being plastic rather than metal, it does distort slightly in the packaging, however this is slight and it pulls into shape when installed. The final appearance when installed was tidy and a good match for the 3.5" front panel that I was installing inside it and also with my black PC case. The unit has mounting screws included and is adequate for my purposes.
