Nice images but some are very dark
This book is alright. It has the grayscale pic on one side and a colored version for you to see on the other, Meaning they’re two sided pages. If youbise pencils you’ll be fine but if you use Copics or any other market then it’ll soak through the page and ruin the precolored version of another picture. Some of the images are very dark and difficult to color shades of colors which is why I gave it 3 stars. I like the images, they’re old fashioned, pin up type pictures. Something different. I’ve included pics of every page so you can see what’s contained in the book. So far I’ve only colored one page because they’re so dark.

This is part of the problem with not being able to see the pages of a book you want. This book is basically Black and white color page with the actual color photo on the other page for reference. It is alright. But you can do the same thing with your own images you get online and turn them Black & White.

Dissapointed by this one
I myself am a huge Pin-Up fan. Bettie Page is the Goddess who introduced me to it and as much as I want to like this book I just cant it doesnt capture the essence and with the color photo sitting beside it, it makes it seem more paint by number then using your own taste to color.

Three Stars
The pictures are greyscale so they distort the colors of some types of coloring medium.

Three Stars
Great pictures but paper could be of a higher quality.

Tasteful and Challenging
This book works on 2 levels. Firstly as a challenging colouring book and secondly as a surprisingly lovely collection of tasteful cheesecake/pin-up images, which look modern but pay fair homage to the masters in the 1950s (who didn't have digital technology).I would say that if you do not like a challenge, as this book will test your skills of subtlety, it is not for you, but it is win-win as the images are tasteful, masterfully captured and excellently presented, each within a frame so no run off at the edge of pages.I also paint pin-up miniature figures (Andrea and Pegaso ranges) and hope to use this book as an aide to colours and shading for that medium.Just an amazing book! Totally recommended.
