Review: Out of the box 5 min installation that works like a charm! - I was hesitant about which PCIe card to buy, given that there are so many with varying price ranges, features, reputations and most offputtingly, reviews! Originally I was looking at StarTech.com's 2x USB-C PCIe card for around £50. I had never heard about Inateck before, but with the addition of 3 x USB 3.0 (you can never have too many) and for a slightly cheaper price, I felt it was the right choice to make, and so I threw my dice... I'm so happy with the result. Fantastic power for a good price. Just stick it in and off you go. No driver updates necessary! Don't hesitate to buy this if you're umming and ahing; you'll be very pleased with your purchase
Review: Great way to add USB 3.2 ports - Bought this to replace a USB 3.0 PCI-E card which was slow and caused PC boot-up problems. No such issue with this one - driverless install, boot problems gone and transfer speed from external drives really fast. Slightly more expensive card than others, but well worth the extra outlay as it works properly / reliably.

## Features

- Multi-ports PCIe to USB 3.2 Gen 2 Card: The card offers three USB Type-A ports and two USB Type-C ports from PCIe x 4 slot.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why is this card advertised as connecting via 4x lanes? the as media asm3142 chip that runs it only supports a 2x connection.**
A: Thanks for bringing it into our attention. The actual bandwidth of this card is 2x lanes. We'll correct our listing.

**Q: Will this work in a 2008 mac pro 3,1 running os catalina**
A: Sorry, it is incompatible with 2008 Mac Pro 3.1.

**Q: Hi, is this compatible for video transmission? Can I connect 3 cameras without bandwidth issues?**
A: It's impossible to answer your question as stated. It depends on what bit-rate your cameras produce. 3* Red 8k cameras running at 4:2:2 no chance. 3 hd cameras with HEVC compression, you should be OK.
To put it more plainly buy a specialist video ingest card(Black Magic, for instance), rather than a generic USB card
I use this card to connect various high speed SD/Micro sd/CF card readers to. It works great for that, but generally only one card is being transferred at a time

**Q: Hi, just installed this on a win 10 pc. i’m getting slow speeds and device manager is not seeing it? any ideas?**
A: It should show in the usb stack at the bottom as Renesas USB 3.0 extensible host controller (0.96 - Microsoft)

Can you provide detail of PC?
Motherboard cpu etc?

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works out of the box - issues with Zoom crash if Logitech BRIO webcam plugged into USB3 Type A port
*by D***S on 26 April 2021*

Everything works to spec, and this is surprisingly good considering I am using this card on a legacy Mac Pro 2012 5,1 desktop. Only issue I have encountered is when selecting the Logitech BRIO into a USB 3.1 Type A port and selecting the camera in the Zoom web conferencing app, in HD mode. Zoom does not crash with HD mode turned off, and under identical circumstances in Windows 10, or MacBook Pro running Big Sur with HD ON. I can operate the camera in Low Resolution mode, or choose HD mode when plugging into one of the USBC ports on the card. Still trying to find out whether this is 30fps or 60fps. I raised tickets also with Zoom and Logitech over this issue, and no-one has a clue so far.
