Slightly Stoopid cooks up some treats for their fans in their newest studio release SLIGHTLY NOT STONED ENOUGH TO EAT BREAKFAST YET STOOPID (outtakes, rarities and new joints) a follow up to August 2007's release CHRONCHITIS which has sold 65,000 units to date in less then a year. One a 6-song EP which only 5,000 units were printed with the release of 2005's CLOSER TO THE SUN, SNSETEBYS contains the most wanted material for fans who haven't been able to find the EP anywhere. The band decided to add 14 songs to the EP to give the fans what they wanted plus a whole other albums worth of material including the first studio version of their live favorite "Sensimilla".

and this album is another fun offering of reggae flavored tunes
This band has really grown on me, and this album is another fun offering of reggae flavored tunes. Many of the songs demonstrate the astounding musical talents of the members, not through flashy boring solos, but with tasty licks and hooks. While not as focused as some of their later efforts, especially "Meanwhile, Back at the Lab," this is a good album to just load into the player and groove along to. Enjoy!

What happened to these guys?
In 2000 when I first heard these guys live I sure thought they were on to something great. Turns out this band just can't evolve their sound, After the closer to the sun release in 2005 I saw them live and was confused since they only played their "punk" songs no reggae or hip hop. I thought that by now these guys would have gotten reggae down a little bit better since it is still amateur sounding, the reggae vocals from these guys sound more like something that should be heard in chant at a catholic church hall The band has talent but they are stuck in time and just can't grow up. The raps are mediocre and are even worse than when they first started out. the album Everything you need was alot different and is more evolved musically. They come outta the post Southern Cali punk ska scene (sublime,no doubt, fishbone, etc..) and are the last of this breed of musicians from that era. Its sad to see wasted talent, these guys belly's are full and they are not hungry.

I have all their music.....
and this one is the most diversified.Has reggae, ska, rock, and blues on it. They do all original material on this one. All genre's are represented here. It is terriffic party music, or just kick it stuff for cruising in the car. It is not Miles Davis, but they are a solid band. Love their ska tunes, they are first rate.

Love this band's sound
I think we own every cd that this band has out by now. An amazing sound and great vocals that are sometimes funny, sometimes beautiful but all around fun.

Not stupid at all, honest and clean sound, with a style of their own and respect for the roots
Just good music. Really like the vibe of this band I discovered initially on Youtube. Nice vibe and attitude. They have a nice mix of styles but stay mainly in Reggae/dub. When they explore other styles though they show themselves as very accomplished musicians. 'London Dub' shows how they understand the sound and get where the music came from as well as taking it forward in their own way. Refreshingly respectful for a modern band.
