## Description

Liquitex offers the broadest range of acrylic mediums to inspire creativity at every stage of the painting process. Liquitex Fluid Mediums perform much in the way that their name implies, they are fluid in nature and reduce viscosity of heavier paints and gels. They tend to self-level and do not retain brushstrokes. Liquitex Fluid Mediums modify acrylic paints in a variety of ways and contain acrylic resins to maintain or enhance adhesion and durability. Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish Fluid Painting Medium is an all-purpose Liquitex medium, formulated to be mixed into all Liquitex acrylic paints and mediums. Mix into any acrylic paint to enhance the depth of color intensity, increase transparency, gloss, ease flow of paint and add flexibility and adhesion of paint film. Use as a non-removable varnish to protect painting and establish gloss sheen surface. Translucent when wet transparent (clear) when dry. Dries to a non-tacky hard flexible surface that is resistant to dirt retention. Depending upon substrate, allows moisture to pass through (breathable). Will not crack as surface expands and contracts during temperature and humidity changes. Applicable for any surface (flexible and inflexible) including canvas paper wood Plexiglas etc. Not for use over oil paint. APPLICATIONS AS A MEDIUM: AS EXTENDER: Mix with Liquitex Soft Body Artist Color to extend volume and increase transparency while maintaining paint viscosity. Mix with Liquitex Heavy Body Artist Color to extend volume and increase transparency while decreasing paint viscosity. AS FIXATIVE: To increase gloss or shine, mix 1 part Gloss Medium & Varnish to 1 part distilled water. AS VARNISH: Gloss Varnish for flexible surfaces is recommended for acrylic paintings. **Q: Can I use this to seal my daughters crayola canvas paintings?**
A: If the paintings are with Crayola crayons then no, the acrylic will not adhere..  if  they are crayola poster paints then a spray varnish must be used. The first coat or two should be very light to prevent bleeding.

**Q: Can this be used in collage to make the image adhere to the paper? or is there a better thing to use for that?**
A: It could be used to adhere a paper to another paper or a paper to a background of wood or canvas. I don't know whether it would be the best product for that purpose, though.

**Q: Can you use this in an acrylic and silcone pour painting and do you still need to seal it with this or another product?**
A: You should use a product like this to seal any porous surface.  Substrates like wood, for instance, tend to drink paints, silicones  and resins if they arent sealed. If you are not using resin, i would use a polycrylic to seal it after your pour. Just make sure you wait until your pour is completely dry and you have cleaned off silicone residue.
