Very bright, well made, thoughtful design
These are extremely bright. What's great about these 1156 bulbs is that the LED arrays are more prominent on the sides. Why is this important? Because most 1156 backup bulbs are positioned upright. Don't bother with lens type LED 1156 bulbs for your backup lights. They are useless unless the bulb socket is pointing outwards. The bulbs themselves seem to be well made. They feel very solid and are quite heavy. I bumped them pretty hard a few times putting the bulb housing cover back on and they didn't even scratch. They aren't much longer (if at all) than standard 1156 bulbs which is great as they easily fit into a tight 1156 housing. Finally I can see when I'm backing up. They light up the whole driveway. The old standard bulbs were useless. And this is in an older car without very good backup housing design (no reflective material inside etc.).They haven't given me any problems and I have run them for quite a while at a time just to test their limits.Very high quality product. Well made. Thoughtful design. At least 2x brighter than standard LED 1156 bulbs (probably 3-4x). Best used as backup lights as they are very very VERY bright!Don't bother with those $2 1156 LED bulbs they just blow smoke and die.Very happy customer ( :

Good not great
These are better than the stock reverse lights, but certainly not as good as I was expecting. I have some 1200 lumen reverse lights in my truck, and they put these to shame, so I doubt they are an actual 1000 Lumen lights. That aside, for the price they are a good buy, but don't expect to see a world of a difference with these.

Any suggestions on what might work in a snowthrower like this.
Did not work in my snowthrower. Worked for a few seconds and flickered out. Not sure if this is due to the vibration or the fluctuating voltage. They were very bright for a few seconds. Any suggestions on what might work in a snowthrower like this.

Triggers "bulb missing / burnt out warnings"
They work, but they trigger warning messages when starting the car because the vehicle's computer is looking for the resistance profile associated with an incandescent bulb, and these bulbs don't have it. So the car thinks the bulbs are missing or burnt out, and triggers a ding and a warning message when it does it's safety checks every time you start the engine. The description from the manufacturer did not note that the bulbs would trigger these problems, and I am sure they know that they do...

Not good for Elantra blinkers.
They didn't work for the blinkers in my wife's Elantra. I wanted to replace the blinkers because they are so close to the brake lights and are the same brightness and, thus, hard to notice. I've been behind Elantras and almost not noticed their blinkers and had to slam on my brakes. I personally think all cars should be required to have yellow turn signals, but that's my opinion. These make the blinkers blink too fast so that maximum brightness can't be achieved. They're actually less bright because of this. I don't know of it has something to do with the relay on the car or what, but they seem to be no good as blinkers, at least in this case.

Awesome light output, but not durable
These appeared well built when I installed them as headlights in my Cub Cadet, and the light these produce is awesome. Unfortunately, after approx 15 hours of use, the lamps separated from the base and failed. Had to use needle nose pliers to remove the bases, as can be seen in the pic

and probably seal them up a bit better to keep dust out
Installed in my JD LX277. These silly little lights actually work. I still need to polish the headlight housing, and probably seal them up a bit better to keep dust out. Even if I didn't do that these lights throw a lot of light. I can actually see at night. And yes I will mow after sunset on extremely hot days.

Wow Insanely Bright!
Wow are these bright. I have dark tinted rear windows and these make an incredible difference from the stock halogen bulb! I can see everything behind me at all angles! I now feel much safer when backing up at night. Ask questions and I will do my best to answer! Also the out put photo has me standing in front of it, the lights do not have a dark spot
