LOVE IT!
It's exactly what I wanted. I bought this as a temporary fix, figuring I'd buy a better quality lens, but I don't think I will. I love it, it does exactly what I need it to do and is good quality.

Double purpose lens
As a macro and wide lens, this is a good buy. while I originally bought this for the WIDE lens, I've found the MACRO to make it much more worth while. The Macro lens is outstanding (it is a two-piece set which comes apart into a macro lens and a second concave lense which alone does nothing, but combined with the macro gives you the wide field lens). I am not completely dazzled by the WIDE lens, but it is good enough to recommend. Probably higher end optics render some more crisp to the images, but for the price this is worth the buy and the MACRO alone makes it recommendable.

Works great
Works great with very minimal distortion. Only distortion seen is at maximum camera setting and at that it is very acceptable. Enjoy this one.

Wow for a $20-30 lens.
In this price range, there are many options. I was impressed to get a japanese made coated lens of solid construction and no flaws in the perimiter field of view. Much better than sunpack lenses at this range.

Great Lens
I bought this lens because I needed a better wide angle than the Zeikos lenses I had which created a vignette around my camera. I have a Canon Vixia HF100 and this works really well. The outside of the lens is blurred around the edges to focus on the subject, but creates a great picture.

Works with a Lensbaby
One of these came with a bunch of lenses that I bought on eBay. I didn't have any regular lenses it would work with and was about to take it to Goodwill when I decided to try it with my Lensbaby optics (which are 37mm)( Lensbaby Composer Pro with Double Glass Optic for Canon Digital SLR ). It works great and gives me a wider angle than the Lensbaby 0.6x adapter. The macro portion also works fine; it focuses at around 1-1/2 inches with a DOF of a few millimeters. On my Canon 60D it gives me a focal length of 36mm and on my Lumix GI (with Canon EOS adapter) a focal length of 45mm.As for quality, with a Lensbaby you aren't particularly worried about edge blurring and it seems pretty sharp in the center. If you want a cheap wide angle for your Lensbaby 37mm optics, give this one a try. It's a lot less money than the $80.00 Lensbaby .42x super wide angle ( Lensbaby .42X Super Wide Angle Accessory Lens (Black) ).

Widening the view
The problem with camcorders is that the closer you are to the action, the less wide the view. Since I had purchased a camcorder that took additional lens, I purchased the .45x Super Wide Angle Lens. The shipping was quick. The box looked a little dusty, but the lens was fine. I haven't used the Macro lens as yet.The Wide angle lens works as advertised. It does broaden the view of what you are recording. The lens is not too big so I have kept it on the camcorder. If I do take it off there is a pouch that comes with it that you can store it in.I don't have any complaints. While it weighs a few ounces, you really don't notice it.
