I wanted this product to remove the lint balls that form on some of my sleeping bras. I think the T shirts that I wear to bed rub and cause the balls. This machine was fantastic for removing the balls! The machine has a nice comfortable feel in your hand and the machine is efficient. I love the fact that you can use it with the power cord or not. I just charge mine up and then unplug it and use it. I think this would work very well on sweaters and other things that form lint balls. I highly recommend this product. It does what it says it will do. There were many choices on Amazon, some less expensive, but sometimes I think you get what you pay for so I went for the medium price instead of the low.

The effect on any cloth - like old jeans - is superb - creates a velvety sleek finish immediately. Purchased many items at Goodwill - all the way from thin knit tops to fluffy child and pet toys - made them all look like new!Then after a few days the whole thing fell apart . Took me about half an hour to figure out that I needed to take off the blade guard, unwind and remove a thick string of lint that had got tangled around the shaft , and that the blade cover needs to be screwed on (like turning a jar top) carefully without the blue plastic cover on.It has a large enough surface to make jobs pretty quick, holds a charge well, and can be used while plugged in.It can make shabby clothing and other cloth items look good again, will pay for itself rather quickly .It does not work to remove pills from microfiber towels and cleaning cloths - not much anyway.I found that a $1 barbecue wire brush from the dollar store works better for that.This is costly for a fabric shaver, however it is by far the best one I have ever owned. Cleaned up some of my friends clothing too , and she was extremely pleased.

Let me preface by saying I did not expect much, so I was very pleasantly surprised to see how well this works. My son (16) had several hoodies and tshirts that were pilling from his backpack rubbing against them. When I realized how many shirts were getting ruined, I looked into a solution. Upside, it does the job and has a rechargeable battery (which is great). The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is the downside --the plug into the unit (for the charging) is not a tight fit, so you need to jiggle it a little bit to keep it charging. Other than that, we are very satisfied with the product. Bottom Line - works well and not terribly expensive.

This worked fine the first 3 times I used it, but now the faceplate ring doesn't screw in and stay on, and it doesn't depress the tiny button inside that turns it on, so it is completely useless. I shaved 4-5 sweaters, 4 prs. of socks, and 1 long dress - certainly not worth what I paid for it.

I had hopes that this product would help my poor white sweatshirt, with lint all over it. I previously had a cheap lint remover that didn't work very well, but I was desperate. So, I bit the bullet and bought the more expensive (and higher rated) product. I charged it the full 8 hours, and went to work. I Can't Believe How Well It Worked!!! My sweatshirt looks like new!! It was easy and held the charge great. I LOVE this project. I am SO happy with this purchase!

I paid good money for this and I think it got short-circuited, started reheating horribly and it finally stopped working at all. Also, it didn't work as efficiently as expected, I had to disassemble it very often to clean up the clogged lint. I returned it and got a refund. I bought a Conair one that looks/works very similarly but it's battery operated, and its efficiency is similar as well (which is mediocre). I am still waiting for my dream fabric shaver to be on the market!
