The Glip JK-103 Black is an elegant electric glass kettle that boils water very quickly. It features 1500 watts of power, 1.7 liter water capacity, auto shut-off, blue LED boiling indicator, stay cool handle, secure locking lid, boil-dry protection and cordless water filling. It only takes 7-8 minutes for water to boil at maximum level. With the non-slip 360-degree swivel corded power base, you can lift the kettle off from base cordlessly and serve hot water very conveniently. While water is boiling, blue LED will lit up from the bottom of the kettle to indicate that water is boiling. Switch will be shut off automatically when it is done boiling. Water pours in all directions
Esthetically this product is appealing, but one might wonder if they ever tested it before they put it into production. The top lid does not open when pressing the button, but worse: water pours in all directions.

I recommend you do not purchase this product until the manufacturer ...
It seems there has been numerous complaints about this product and the problem has Not been fixed by the manufacturer. After only a couple of months of light use the lid gets stuck and can not be opened by the button release. Have to open the lid manually.I recommend you do not purchase this product until the manufacturer takes these complaints more seriously and repairs the lid issue.

It's okay, but there's a plastic bar in the middle of the inner net, and when you pour your last cup the stream doubles and runs in different directions.

I've purchased two of these since December 2014 and neither ...
I've purchased two of these since December 2014 and neither one of the buttons works to automatically open the lid. As a work around we would manually open it. I put up with that until it stopped automatically turning off when the water finished boiling. I've owned the second kettle for 2 months.
