The information is technically all available on-line but it’s wonderful to sit and read through an actual book in the evening, planning your next adventure and to have in your vehicle as a reference guide along the route. The book as a concept and execution is definitely five stars. Just be prepared for a few changes. For example the remote plateau at the top of Wadi Sana now has a few houses and a huge wind generator! Not ideal for camping. But wander up a nearby creek bed and we found an even more outstanding camp spot. So, accuracy may be a bit off, but use it as a start point, be adventurous and explore UAE off-road! Review: Always good to have it. - If you are an adventurer than it is a must to have the book, last edition was 2012 and this one is much improved.
