Is it ok to tap them on?** A: you can try but atlas rail joiners are so cheap why not just buy a package **Q: how tight of a radius can you make with this?** A: You can go down to about 8 inch radius (tram layout) **Q: what is the width between tracks?** A: It is standard HO scale. I am not able to measure it at this time but I would say an inch?? But it works well with our other HO track **Q: Do the plastic ties have spaced holes to nail the track down? If not how do i adhere to wood substrate?** A: There are holes approximately 10 ties apart. some are single and others in pairs 4 ties apart. The holes are sized for track nails. You need to be careful if you are nailing into plywood, as the wood is hard and the nails are easily bent.
