I like this Nextbook because it is small and lightweight and ...
This Nextbook works well for smaller jobs. I like this Nextbook because it is small and lightweight and has 2 USB ports to plug in essential items when using the Nextbook on the road. The battery life could be better, as with any small electronics. I like that you can use the device as a tablet and touch screen, at the same time it is nice to use a mouse as the screen sometimes doesn't want to rotate. Overall, not bad for the price.

it performs like a Chinese knockoff tablet
I had high expectations given the brand and the fact that it's Windows based. Don't get me wrong. I clearly understand the difference in a laptop[ and a tablet. This is not the issue. This unit freezes on touch about 30% of the time leaving you wondering if it received your touch or whether to touch it again. Other reviewers have commented similarly. I got the free upgrade to Windows 10 thinking the problem might be in the Windows 8 that Microsoft has abandoned. Not so After Windows 10, the unit became extremely lethargic. It would not scroll up and down readily. The corners where you close apps seemed to be out of calibration and often would not close apps when the app close icon was touched. I ran touch screen calibration. No improvement. After a day or numerous repeated screen pokes to initiate apps failing to respond. I regressed to Windows 8. After that I got about a 20% speed improvement in response but the random, Un responsive screen issue continued. All told, it performs like a Chinese knockoff tablet. And although the performance specs are above average for a tablet (2GB, 32 Gig), the speed, or lack thereof as well as the cheap touchscreen still makes the unit perform like a knockoff. You know the ones you buy at Brand**** to give to your 8 year old because you want on keep your investments on the low side to mitigate damage loss. Oddly enough, the RCA model (clearly not mainstream in tablet market) out performed this. It too had minor touchscreen issues but within the acceptable level of tolerance for a low end tablet. I wish I could say the same for the Nextbook.

I like this, since it is compact and convenient
It arrived a day earlier than I expected. I like this, since it is compact and convenient. So far, I have used it primarily for email, reviewing documents for a meeting and such. I think that the battery life is a little shorter than I expected, but this is probably because I have been treating it more like a lap top than a tablet. Overall, it was definitely well worth the price I spent!

Crazy cursor
It works okay... BUT... If I just look at the screen wrong, the cursor jumps, or the page changes, some button clicks itself, etc. I realize this happens with all laptops, but this is much more sensitive. I do a lot of typing, and honestly, it's a miracle I haven't thrown it against a wall (yet). There's nothing quite as frustrating as typing a long message, email, post, etc and having it suddenly delete itself. I would say I have to move the cursor back where it belongs at least once per line of type. Also, the charging plug doesn't fit well. I plugged mine in (or at least I thought I did) last night before I went to sleep, and the battery was still dead when I woke up.BTW- I wrote this review on my phone...

The computer works fine for internet browsing
I purchased my Nextbook mainly for browsing -- no heavy word processing. The computer works fine for internet browsing. I rarely use the touchscreen, I guess I just forget that it has a touchscreen, because I keep it attached to the keyboard. I've had other small laptops and I would rate the Nextbook as being a very good bang for the buck.
