This mic stand is very sturdy and was very easy to install. Fit my shure 58 great. Would recommend.

Over all, I am very pleased with this product. I purchased it to accommodate a cordless hand-held mic at the lecturn of my church. The mic has a metal shell and requires two AA batteries, so it is substantial. The adjustable gooseneck mount I purchased is very, very nicely made, and even comes with two interchangeable mic grips to choose from. My only complaint is that the gooseneck is not quite strong enough, or more appropriately, not quite rigid enough to keep it from drifting down a bit under the weight of the mic. Other that that, EXCELLENT!!

This mic stand is flimsy. I bought it thinking it would have been an new addition to the lectern. It was extremely poor. It cannot support the weight of a normal mic. As soon as the mic is placed in the holder it bends ridiculously. No one should buy this. I simply have mine as an ornament to good money with a very bad product. No one should buy this.

Easy to install it took me 30 second to install. Its very firm and solid.

I bought one of these to mount a webcam on the wall. I purchased a separate adapter to take the threads from standard 5/8"-27 to 1/4"-20 which fit the webcam I was using. It positioned perfectly and has held its position since it was installed. The camera was a small webcam, which weighs only a couple of ounces, so I don't know how this would perform with a conventional microphone.

We utilized this microphone mount on a speaking lectern for our church. It is much stiffer than expected and does a good job holding the weight of a vocal mic and cord without moving once in place.
