2 Classic Albums Plus

Nice collection - but some of these tracks do NOT feature Link or any of the Ray Men. Typical, as this is yet another one of those "out of copyright" releases that come from the UK and sold in the US. By doing this, no US royalties are paid to those who hold the copyrights to these songs - Link's family.

Bit of a mix here - CDs 1 & 2 are what you would expect from this guitarist, with the second CD incorporating more of his 'moody' music than the first. CD3 is basically comprised of his family's recordings - his brothers Doug and Vernon as well as himself (Vernon was also known as 'Lucky' and Ray Vernon).CD4 seems to consist of Link, The Raymen etc. performing as backing musicians to various artistes. However, without proper notes being provided with this set, this is just a calculated supposition.Some comments : nice ballad "Pretty Blue Eyes", "Slow Drag" is Santo & Johnny-ish, and good rocker is "Pitch Black". However, please spare me from those sobbing style recordings as per "I Need Your Love". I suppose somebody must like them...........?
