The result is a completely accurate translation of the original texts including the Apocrypha that’s relevant, readable, reliable, and easily understood today. FEATURES: 5 3/8" x 8 3/8" 8-point type 1184 pages Comfortable two-column setting with black letter text In-text subject headings Translation footnotes Review: Simple bible made right - I already had a copy of the CEB for Kindle and was buying this bible as a gift. However, I instantly fell in love and bought one for myself as well. It was a bit of a risk for me to buy a new bible with no reviews, but it was well worth it. PROS: The cowhide is very soft, and it seems to be thick enough to last. The corners of the binding will not snag. The front cover is blank, the spine simple, and the back cover simply says "Genuine Cowhide" and the ISBN. The print block is balanced, the fonts are clean and modern, and the headings are tasteful. CONS: There is only one ribbon! The spine has ample room for two ribbons, and that might have been a nice touch, although it's a matter of personal preference. The dedication page doesn't really seem to mesh with the rest of the bible, and it feels thrown in. My only real complaint, however, is that CEB is not yet available in a single-column format (and even then, in leather). Such a readable translation ought to be printed in a readable format! Review: CEB is great - I have a copy of the common english Bible already. I bought it when it first came out, it is not hard to read at all. Makes sense of the Bible in common english. I bought this copy because as I grow older, my eyesight is not as good as it used to be. This is a new version just released with larger print. Fantastic. Would recomend this Bible to everyone even KJV fans. It gives you a different prespective on learning. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #4,713,201 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #9,523 in Christian Bibles (Books) | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 129 Reviews | ## Images ![CEB Common English Pew Bible with Apocrypha Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31OjtJPCXJL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple bible made right *by R***N on November 24, 2012* I already had a copy of the CEB for Kindle and was buying this bible as a gift.
