This handmade fairy house is called the Bluebird Home. It is 7" wide, 7 1/2" deep and about 6" tall. You will be purchasing a unique one of a kind artistic piece made from clay. This piece took hours to make. Slabs of high fired clay were rolled out then cut to make the walls and roof. It was then decorated with individual doors, trim, door mats, grass, blue birds and a thatch roof. After the bisque firing, it was hand glazed and fired again in an Oxidation kiln. The glazes were uniquely developed by Rita in the studio to give a each glaze a unique realistic matt look color. Made with attention to detail, the house is truly unique and precious. The birdbath has melted blue glass in it that looks like water. The roof can be removed to access the inside. This piece is a collaborative piece . It was made by a local potter, Sandy Zambory, who uses the facilities at Windblown Studio. It was glazed by Fred, Rita's husband.
