Songs of Defiance - Season 2 (Original Television Soundtrack)

This album perfectly captures the mood of season 2. You will be surprised at some of the extended versions on here: they are top rate. I honestly left this CD on for over four hours because it is so catchy. The Votan languages sound great. If you like Defiance, you owe it to yourself to buy this. If you don't know Defiance, give this a listen anyway: it really is just high quality listening material.

Unlike the first season album, this one doesn't contain any of the (often excellent) score, and is a selection of pop songs infused with the series' unique sound. Even beyond that, while the first season contained a few recognizable covers, these tend more to be originals. There are some catchy ones in there, as well as some repetitive elements. I'm not a big fan of the alien language tracks; just sounds silly to me. But you can certainly have some fun listening to some of these songs.

I'm still soooo bummed this show got canceled! Such a fun imaginative show! Even the music is original and fun!

Love love LOVE this Defiance soundtrack. Love the mixture of English and Votan songs. Beautiful to listen to.
