There are better books out there...
The concepts explored in this book, while fascinating, are really only useful if you have a professor to guide you. I would not recommend learning from this book by self study. It is a fairly easy read, but falls short of other texts I have owned. I am an A student. I know the difference between a good book and something mediocre.

Good basic collection of texts
Bought this as the required text for a "Philosophy of Life and Death" course, and the readings are relevant and varied. Was not the best choice for the scope of the class but I'm glad to have it in my library for future reference.

required textbook
I can't say much about the book, bought it for a class this semester and we aren't to the unit that uses the book.
