By customer request, we’ve expanded our proven Cyclocross shift technology to include the 2012+ 130 BCD SRAM Red Exogram, Red 22, Force 22, and now Rival 22 road/cx cranks. The 2012+ SRAM RED cranks are a great choice for CX Racing. The RED is light and stiff — better than the previous generations (and it has the cool, lightweight bolt pattern). Join it with fast shifting and race proven WickWerks CX chainrings for amazing performance. The Force and Rival 22 take some of these same cues, in a little less expensive form. This is also a very nice crank that we should see lots of on the ‘cross courses. Maximum shift performance for all conditions — including those requiring durable materials and top craftsmanship.

It works fine, but it's best to have your shop install it. The "hidden bolt" compatibility is definitely misleading. It's actually just a set of old school chainring bolts. It's very likely the same as any other chainring so save the money and buy the name brand item.
