Working Again
Our three kids have all played with and really enjoyed our "My First LeapPad" but with three of them having played with it, the cord from the pen ended up being pulled on too much. Finally the unit just stopped responding, but it would power up so I guessed it was the pen that had stopped working. I looked on Amazon and on the LeapPad site and saw that LeapPad actually has a replacement pen program that was cheaper than anything else I saw, but when I called they were actually out of the pens and couldn't tell me when they would actually have any in to ship to me. Well, I wanted to fix the toy and get it back in circulation with our kids so I went back to Amazon and bought this item. It arrived quickly and "installation" took all of maybe two minutes. Power on and it worked perfectly - good as new! Actually better, because the original pen didn't come with the cute little frog on it and my youngest really liked that addition. A great item to get your My Fisrst Leap Pad back up and running.

Great replacement part
After several years of hard use, the cord finally broke on the original pen that came with my kids' LeapPad, so this replacement pen was the perfect solution. I'm so glad that the designers of the LeapPad made it possible to swap out pens. The new one works great, and was a lot less expensive than buying a whole new LeapPad!

I have had this toy since my now 10 and 8 yr. old were little. It has lasted that long, I needed only to replace the pen for my little one. They still enjoy this toy.

the pen worked!
it was nice that the pen worked and i did not have to go out and buy a whole new leappad but i do wonder how long it will last...it was very easy to replace

Great product. Even though there are other " upgraded" learning toys out there it was great to be able to keep our leap pad and just replace the pen. It gives us years of more fun on what we have rather than buying new. It was easy to replace and install. It came in brand new packaging very quickly!

Good solution
Pen is easy to replace and "fixed" the problem of our leap pads not responding. Much more cost effective than buying a new my first leap pad. I do not know how many hours were logged on the original pen before we needed the replacement and am curious to see how long the replacement is effective.
